I wouldn't say never! With Car Play only a few weeks away, give it 6 months and I am sure it would be integrated.

Then what is the point of the video input? Lame.

I upgraded from a AVIC 700bt to the new hex-5000. App mode doesn't really interest me so I figured that videos would still work with the component connection to the iPhone 5. I've been able to get audio to work while in av mode but no video. How do I get that to work? Its as if the unit doesn't recognize the video input. Suggestions?

I think caraudiogiants got in trouble with Pioneer. They still have a few units on their site but the NEX are removed. I received two phone calls from them and a couple emails saying they goofed up on the price. If they were scamming, why bother calling me twice to apologize. Pioneer "officially" announced the release 2 days ago. If I don't see actual shipping/tracking movement by next Friday, I will start the refund/dispute process. I think we will see notifications that they have shipped next week.

I too ordered through caraudiogiants. I asked them about when to see these ship. Bummed seeing these on shelves and in cars yet mine is still not shipped.

Is the bypass the same as the older avic units?

The 4000 isn't even a GPS system. I think that is why we are seeing the 5000-8000s be delayed till April. The only spot I bought mine from called me twice to say there was a pricing error and to expect them to ship first week in april.

I am one of those as well who bought from that site. Glad they are honoring the price. We will see if the units get shipped.
