Hey I can,t open or tilt the screen on my AVIC 120, any suggestions on how to get it open?

This is from a post above, and my question is can I use this to just update the maps in my Z120, I don't want to update the program to a Z130 just want to update the maps? As I was told the gray wire at the traction control button on the center console work's great on the C^ corvette. I hooked the orange wire there and the dimming works great. Thanks for all a the help.

This happened to me also but my problem was I did not connect the blue white wire to the blue wire. The amp trigger wire needs to connect to the remote wire. Is your blue/white amp trigger hoooked up?

Thanks and yes I understand about it just changes the settings between day and night right now all I get is the option for day time, I need to connect the orange wire to a different source, now I will try and find that source on my car. Thanks

The auto dimming does not work on my 120, installed on a 2008 corvette. It appears the orange wire is the dimming circuit wire do I need to provided a constant 12 volts on this wire or does it need to be tapped into a wire that is hot only when the headlights are on?

What is the AVIC looking for a constant +12 volts, I am having the same issue on my 2008 corvette and have some choiecs on where to hook up the gray wire just not sure what the unit is looking for to allow it go in night mode when the lights come on?
