  1. Thanks, that reply is very helpful. The installer said it can be done, but he just said i'll lose the "automatic" ability when I go into reverse. This means I will have to turn on the camera manually every single time. The installer said he did this before on his older unit and changed it back because he wanted the automatic ability when the gear is set into reverse. He also said because I have this bypassed, I would have to lose the bypass mode or something. He may be wrong or may not be. I just want to make sure. Thanks you guys.
  2. Thanks Jason. I didn't look at the camera before the installation, but I'll ask the installer about this. Thanks so much!
  3. The backup camera only has ONE manual which includes everything. Is there a X920 install manual online? I can't seem to find my manual for that.
  4. I just checked both the X920BT manual (online manual) and the BOYO VTL-425 camera manual. THe camer manual has only the installation pictures and nothing else. The X920BT manual doesn't tell me how I can connect the camera. The only thing I see in the X920 manual is something about the "POLARITY", which I can change, but I do not believe that is what I will need to do. What page are you talking about VBLUE?
  5. I know how to turn it on (i have it on my shortcuts), but it's "BLACK" right now because the power is only on when I am in reverse. What is a good switch I can use? Thanks! @VBlue - Would you happen to know what page in the manual? I read most of it and don't recall it saying how I can connect the backup camera a different way, so that I can have the camera turn on whenever. Thanks I just don't want to lose the automatic ability of the camera.
  6. Hey guys, I have the X920BT bypassed and I have a BOYO backup camera attached to this unit. A week ago I found a video on youtube showing that I can have the backup camera on while driving. I think I also saw a thread here too, but can't seem to recall the title. I just went to my local installer to ask about this and he told me that he would have to change the wiring around so that I can control the camera manually. However, he said if I do this, I will lose the ability of having the camera auto turn on when I put the car in reverse. What can the installer do to allow the automati
  7. I just did this the other day. I believe it's from the phone as well. Just one click and it transferred over to my bb bold

    EQ settings

????? Thanks 1loudls, your reply helped and I was able to adjust it to my liking =)
  9. Hey guys, I just got my order for the Boyo VTL425 reverse camera and I'm going to have it installed to my X920BT. I also got a smoked license plate cover, but ordered a "DOME" one. I'm not sure if it would work, but I'm wondering if any of you guys have tried it. I will probably return the dome one and get the following: http://www.amazon.com/Cruiser-Accessories-Tuf-Shield-Smoke-License/dp/B00155237W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1293149632&sr=8-1 My concerns is will the camera still be fully secured if I use the flat cover. Thanks!

    EQ settings

Thank you guys! =) I did look at page 174 prior to this thread, but I don't believe it tells you what the bars are.

    EQ settings

Hey, I did a search on this forum and on Google for EQ settings on the X920bt, but most replies state that it really depends on the ears of the listener. Now I totally understand that, but I'm not sure what each bar of the EQ stands for. When I customize the settings, it just shows the "hz", but it doesn't tell me which is bass or treble. I'm trying to turn up my treble and lower the bass to test out how clear my new speakers are. I think there are like 6-8 bars...if someone could tell me what each one are, that would be great. I checked the manual but couldn't find the details on that
  12. Darn, I'm still reading the manual online and didn't realize there's that part in there. The videos I have are currently in mp4. Thanks! p.s. Are you saying yes to both questions? or the last one?
  13. Hey guys, Is it possible to play video files from the sd card? I placed 2 folders in the card, music and videos. However, it would only let me access the music folder. Would I be able to watch videos if I use a flash drive instead? Thanks!
  14. I just got my unit installed and the places around here is charging $100-150 with the harness and kit for the dash area (for a perfect fit). Luckily my dad has a friend that does audio stuff, so I got the unit installed for $60, but I decided to get brand new speakers (components) and an amp as well. Total was $170 and all I provided was the head unit, speakers, and amp. Dash kit is usually around $20-30 and the wiring harness is usually $7-10
