  1. I used the image resizer from this forum and it came out 500 x 240. It loaded no problem, but it only takes up about 1/2 of my screen. I tried expirmenting with the size, but the unit always says it cannot recognize the files that I have increased the size for. Should it take up the whole screen, and if so, what size should I be using? Thanks.
  2. Also doing the same upgrade. I have the GEX-P10XMT. I realise the NAV Traffic won't work, but can I still use the unit for Sirius/XM, or do I also have to upgrade to the GEX-P920XM?
  3. I just received the BTB200, which Crutchfield let me exchange for the 100. I have a Motorola Razr, which would not auto-connect. Now it will with the 200.
  4. I created a custom boot screen, but it's cropped on both sides. Is this normal, or is there a way for it to fill the whole screen?
  5. My phone also won't auto-connect (Motorola Razr). For those of you having the same problem, does caller id work for you? Mine doesn't. Also, any thoughts as to whether the problem is with the BTB100, and the BTB200 model due out soon might solve the problem, or if the problem lies with Motorola phones.
  6. I agree it's extremely annoying. You figure you get in and out of your car two times a day just going to and from work, then two more times if you use it after work, you're looking at seeing this message over 1,000 times a year. Do I really need to be told the same thing over and over that many times? Do I really need to agree to the license agreement that many times? That's like signing the papers for your car loan four times a day, every day, for as long as you own your car. Ughhhh!
  7. I had to laugh when browsing another forum, I think it was called the 12volt, where someone had the audacity to list a topic on bypassing the avic-d3. The moderator locked the topic, and said it violated the forum rules. Those of us in the U.S. live in a country were the federal government was unable to prevent a magazine from printing an article on how to build an h bomb. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=United_States_v._The_Progressive&oldid=68427870 So it seems a bit silly to try and prevent people from talking about how to access all of their navigation menu options.
  8. p. 66 shows how to replace the spalsh screen, which i undertand to be the Pioneer logo that pops up. I was able to replace that. But I was refering to the notice that follows the splash screen that says: "CAUTION: This navi unit is intended soley as a driving aid." etc. etc. Then you have to hit ok before you can go to the map. I don't see anyway to remove or replace this screen. Does anyone else?
  9. Now if there was only some way to get rid of the annoying warning message when the unit starts up. I understood it the first time; I don't need to have it repeated to me thousands of times over the life of the unit.
  10. Bypass worked fine for me. Only problem I had was when I removed the mute wire, the solder slid off, leaving just bare wire. That created too loose of a connection when I placed it in the new slot, and it fell out. Not having a soldering iron, I stripped off more insulation and folded the wire in half to increase it's size. It works fine so far.
  11. I have a razr. It will not auto connect, and I cannot transfer the phone book. I can, however, transfer one entry at a time. I wonder if the BTB200, which is due out soon, would make any difference, or if it's the phone that's out of date.
  12. Jaytrey wrote: There's a video on you tube showing a guy driving with a dvd playing, so it definately works for a least one person. Some installers refuse to do the bypass. I can't help but wonder if these guys have been ordered by their boss to lie about the bypass, because if they admit they won't do it, you might go somewhere else.
  13. You don't ground a wire by tapping into another wire. It has to be connected to metal. Find a screw or bolt to wrap it around and tighten.
