btw, make sure you phone adapter have enought mA the adapter that came with it has 2000mA i tried to use an universal adapter that has 500mA and it did not work. It was not strong enought to power the hard drive.

i just bought one on ebay, but i found this website has it for cheaper http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.8822 it work well at home. I didn't try it yet on my car. I gotta find an adapter for it to use in the car. maybe i'll just get a small cigarette inverter, those that convert 12v to 120v and just use the home adapter.

yeah that is the thing, it will work perfect at home, but once you plug it in the car, if the adapter is no good, it will pickup all the static from your alternator.

did you try it in the car or you home tv? how do you plug in the car? does it come with the cigarrette plug?? make sure you start the car, and see if any static coming from your alternator

anybody ordered that hdd drive yet?? i want to know the picture quality? also, does it comes with a remote, how do you choose which movie you want to watch? Right now, i'm using an external dvd player, small one, and the image sux, alot of static due to the cigarette light plug, it is taking all the static noise from my car alternator.

yeah well, they cut alot of stuff, but that aint going to reduce the price dramatically. I mean, machine makes them, 1 slot or 2 slot doesn't make so much difference in the labor. The country of origin makes alot of difference in the price. so yeah, china made

I was wondering where is the D3 made? i have the d1 and it is made in japan. I was wondering if the d3 was made somewhere else and that would be the answer for the lower price.

i had the same problem 1 year ago. The only way to fix, was to change the whole knob inside the unit. I didn't do it, since it would be a pain inda butt to do it. i rarely use that knob, so i have to live with it. nah, i can live without it. I dont feel like paying $50 to replace that knob, also i dont want to take chance opening the display

imported with the 15years law i believe u.s is 25years, so you got 8 more years to wait to import one of those :lol:
