  1. Thanks for the info, based on what I read there are two types of aftermarket kits, one for a single DIN and one for a Double DIN, the instructions for the Double DIN say they are for the 04-07 Mazda 3 (EXCLUDING 07 with climate control-which is what I have) where as the single din instructions never mention the climate control at all. So it would seem I am good to go. Thank you again
  2. I have a question and I am hoping someone can help me, I am thinking about buying a 2007 Mazda 3 s. Grand Touring with the Bose system. Does anyone know if I can install my Avic-n3 in it? I know it can't be done in the 2007 Mazda 6 because the Climate Control is integrated in the stereo somehow, According to Crutchfield the Avic-n3 can be installed in the 2007 Mazda 3 with the bose system, but it does not ask anything other than if it has the bose system, My main concern is that the Grand Touring Mazda 3 has Climate control unlike all the other Mazda 3's. I was just curious if anyone knows for
  3. I got that warning, it turns out that when I grounded the parking break wire I did not do that great of a job, so I went back and made sure the connection the ground was perfect and that solved the problem for me.
  4. Yeah, I should have said that, I already had the N3 discs. I am pretty sure you need both the brain and the discs.
  5. Well I finally got the Avic-N3 brain that I bought and I installed it today and I am happy to finally have the enhanced graphics for the IPOD and XM radio! I want to thank everyone who told me it would work. It worked like a charm. I have an N3 and it only costed a little under 300 bucks. Erik
  6. Well I bought an N3 brain off of Ebay I had to pay 295.00 bucks for it, but if it gives me the enhanced graphics for the XM and Ipod then it will be worth it. I know that I was told that it should work, but has anyone done it yet and had success? I know pioneer told me it would not work but I am not surprised by that. I trust the people on this board alot more than I trust Pioneer. But if anyone has had success with an AVIC-N3 brain with a Avic-n2 headunit I would love to hear about it or if there is link to a message on this board that talks about it can someone give it to me? I have searched
  7. I'm sorry. I searched this forum and I only found one message about switching the N3 brain with the N-2 brain and getting the inhanced graphics for the ipod and it was from last Sept. It only had speculation that it would work in fact someone said that the graphics were in the headunit. I truly am sorry it it was repeat but I really did search this forum for the answer. I just did not want to waste the money on an AVIC N3 brain if all I was going to get was the same thing I have now. Thank you for answering either way. I am now excited to buy the brain and try it.
  8. Does anyone know yet, if an Avic-N3 Brain is hooked up to an AVIC-N2 will the N2 have the Enhanced Graphics for the XM radio or Ipod Controls. I have have heard some people say that those graphics are in the Headunit but I have also heard that the GUI is in the brain. I have the ability to get an AVIC-N3 brain and I really want to have the Enhanced graphics, but I dont want to waste my money if it is just going to nothing else than it does now. If anyone has any information please let me know as soon as possible. I only have a day to make up my mind about buying th N3 brain. Thank you so much
