  1. Thanks Ron! No I'm aware it's not Pioneer TS and I might have seemed a bit brash, just surprised that no one had any thoughts or suggestions or the like. This pretty much cropped up overnight so I'm not entirely sure what could be with the antennae (connectors are seated). I'm just frustrated with this HU overall. After I move I might play around with it some, however, if it comes down to replacing the unit I'll probably upgrade or check out the KW and sell the refurb. Sean
  2. phantastic ! I guess there's no help.. I'm going to move and dump my Pioneer. I used to have a DEXP1R and it was the shiz, I've owned P ever since and it's been seemingly getting worse and worse as I go!! I'm far from impressed -- FAR FROM! I will likely move to the kenwood and pawn off this puppy, probably lost about $800 but I guess that's how it goes.
  3. I installed my z120bt about 3 months ago and everything has seemed to be fine (minus subwoofer controls but that's another topic) until recently. About three days ago my HD tuning went to sh1t and I lost all sub-band channels minus the primary. I checked and saw my z120 was showing an analog only signal. About a day later I had to drive up to Dallas from HOU and noticed I started getting some (D) digital signal and could even tune some HD sub-channels, however, A) it's not all the channels that I KNOW exist and should be getting and regardless of the channel it'll play for a bit and then g
  4. Aha, you're right and my apologies. I'm still getting the 120/130 mixed up. And had been looking at the 9960/9980 today. I think i'm just undecided yet so far and really need to look deeper into the differences between the 120/130. I don't think i've quite gotten those two down and I think that a good bit of the bad reviews on the 120 that I've read might not apply to the 130 (nav excluded?).
  5. Thanks for the reply and read. It's really kind of sad but I think I'm going to give the kenwood a go (not 100% yet though). I guess my next question then is (sorry not trying to hijack the thread) but I've read by far MORE awful reviews about the GM VT-GMOS-04 and have read that the scosche swc1 is a much better alternative (though I can't find many true comparisons). In a TB specifically can anyone give me any quick tips/advice regarding those two (I'm still deciding between the Z130 and the 9960 - so paired with either).
  6. ---- Sound quality -Ease of use/integration (menu, gui, factory feature compatibility) -Reliability (parts, components, quality, history of malfunction, etc) -HD reception/clarity -LCD display quality / Touch screen responsiveness -EQ complexity/configuration (a. easy to choose tuned defaults b. easy to fine tune beyond) -Navigation usability. (I don't want to shell out cash for a system that's going to go obsolete for something I can buy or replace and hang from the windshield. If I'm going to shell out a few extra benjamins on a HU I don't want to find it obsolete or less than he
  7. Sooo, I just recently bought a 2007 TB and am looking to upgrade. I had a 7200HD in my old blazer and am looking for something full sized, HD, DVD, Nav .. Ever since I got my first DEX-P1R I've sworn by Pioneer HU's and Infinity's for the speakers but after reading this thread I'm starting to wonder if I should look elsewhere. I'm not looking to wait until 2012 and if I'm going to be spending a boatload of money on a HU I want it to be worth it ... So I guess here I'm now also asking what your thoughts are. I see that this thread is titled doesn't understand customer needs. Do
