  1. Thank you for your response. I'll make sure I purchase the retention harness.
  2. Did you replace all your speakers or did you keep your bose system speakers? I want to install the system in my Z06, and if the system sounds excellent with bose speakers I'll keep the speakers in the car. Thank you.
  3. Has anyone installed this unit in their C6 corvette? I have a bose speaker system with the stock GPS receiver, all stock. If I replace the unit with the Z110BT, will I have any issues with the bose speakers sound quality? I know I will have to purchase the wire harness, and a cover for the dash. The bose system in this car is terrible. Thanks in advance.
  4. For those who are considering upgrading to a larger hard drive, or having their drive upgraded, Garret's service is outstanding and his response to emails is quick and thorough, excellent communication. I received my new 40gb hard drive from Garret yesterday, and I installed the unit in 10 minutes. Garret included the torx socket to remove the hard drive, and as others on the forums stated be sure to use the correct size phillip screwdriver when removing the old drive from the hard drive support bracket. Plug and play and unit operated just like new. Dkal2980
  5. I did the iso bypass update, two wire ground bypass. Unit was working fine for about 2 weeks and started freezing up at the splash screen. I tried at night when the temperature was in the 60's and the unit still freezes. I then tried again this morning when it was 57 degrees and the unit will not get pass the splash screen. Its been raining and in the low 70's and when I got home from work tried to start it up again, and still same results. I guess my only option is to contact pioneer and send it in, since its still under warranty.
  6. I've been experiencing freeze ups and library music just keeps scrolling playing part of songs. I've been able to insert a music cd and the unit will play the cd, but the unit still is froze on the splash screen. Haven't been able to do a level 3 or 4 reset. Today hasn't been hot at all, in the lower 70's when I started my vehicle, and temp was dropping into high 60's. Freeze ups are occurring more frequently now.
  7. My Z2 has been freezing up recently. It wasn't hot at all, 65 degrees and freezes up. My unit will eventually get passed the start up splash screen after an hour of waiting and multiple resets. When its does, the music in my library will scroll by songs without playing them. Has anyone experienced this problem as well as frequent splash screen freeze ups?
  8. Did you make sure you performed the 2 wire ground bypass? If not, follow the instructions posted by Mazdaspeed on page 13 of this thread
  9. I haven't had any problems after driving 180 miles. If the update gave you a message that the unit has been updated and restarts. I would look to see if the 2 wire ground is installed correctly. My parking brake toggle switch is on all the time, and when I go to the hardware settings, and check the Z2 displays my parking brake is on. I also made sure the wire in connector 2 that everyone says should be grounded was secure in the connector and ground that wire to the black wire coming from the Z2 wiring harness by splicing into it. Make sure the 2 wire ground is installed correctly and not
  10. The update took approx. 10 minutes, and unit has full functionality when driving. I did have a little trouble at the beginning of the update turns out I had to turn my parking brake on to hit the "Yes" button which was grayed out with the parking brake off. Thanks so much for the effort put forward by those individuals. My paypal confirmation 7C382943UY748991G You guys and the forum came through again.
  11. Thanks Hyperite, and everyone involved in creating the image files making our units bypassable. I've downloaded the image and will try it this weekend.
  12. If you need any radio wiring diagrams, let me know.
  13. I installed a Z2 in my 2004 F150, however don't know if the radio panel is the same the 2004 F250. Your welcome

  15. I was planning a trip cross country from Washington state to Rhode Island. I installed my Z2 with VSS connected and traveled approx. 4500 miles with navigation in 3D Hybrid learning mode. The GPS signal was excellent, the system knew my speed, the incline my vehicle was travelling. The Z2 indicated my position accurately 98% of the time. only a few times I was travelling in no man's land, which is understandable due to constant road construction. The only issue I had was that I didn't know how to input my own travel route. The travel route mapped by the Z2 takes longer and hundreds of
