  1. I can upgrade your HD. If your still looking PM me.
  2. Check your Nav Voice volume level. It could be set to zero which means you have no voice. Just turn it up and this should solve your issue.

    Z1 Help!

Just a side note to the issues you are having. Unless you have done the bypass on your Z, you have to have your E-Brake engaged for many of your GPS buttons to work, this includes the "Go To" button. Hope this helps you in you quest.
  4. Don't know if this is reletive to your situation, But...... I had to buy an antenna adapter for my now Z3. I have a 08 Dodge Quad Cab, the antenna wire would fit into the connection, but not the correct way. After getting the adapter, FM has worked great......Might be something to check out.
  5. Where is your Sat. Ant. located. Mine is located on center top of the dash next to the windshield. If yours is under the dash, just relocate to on top. As for you other issue, you don't have to use the VSS wire. I have a '08 Dodge quad cab 4x4, VSS not connected, and my Z2 now converted to a Z3 is dead on all the time(speed and location). Hope this helps.
  6. Just a couple things. Was your Z2 new or a refurb? If it was new you might want to return it for a new one. Also you might want to check out your ground wire and make sure it is grounded correctly. If all else fails, try a hard reset on your Z2, this may correct the issue you are having.
  7. You can do what I did. Go to Crutchfield.com or call them direct. Tell the what you have and what you drive. They can fix you up with an install kit for your Z2 and the correct wiring harness for your car. They also supply complete printed instructions for your install. Also if a problem comes up tyou can call anytime for tech support for your install. All tech support is free by the way. I have been using Crutchfield for about 20 years now with no complaints. Their prices for instalation kits and harnesses are very good and tech support for free, you just can't beat it.
  8. You need Harness #2......Not the power harness.
  9. Responding to an earlier post: Since you wont be useing the image in the unit itself, the HD doesn't have to be the same. I can cloan the Z3 image to almost any HD of at least 40gig or more (IDE,SATA, or a laptop HD). Then you would be able to get it to someone who can get it posted for everyone to have. I do have the image and willing to share it. All I need is a way to get it where its needed.
  10. Hey guys I have an image of the Z3 I will be glad to donate. Here's the thing.......It is on a Toshiba 40gig 5400rpm HD. I have no way to upload this image. It is unlocked. I do have a HD duplicating machine. I can cloan up 5 at one time. If someone would supply a HD I would be glad to cloan it so it can be posted to the correct location. I can't upload the directly from the HD because I have no of connecting it to my PC. But will help get to someone who can get it up.
  11. To get voice command to work, you need to touch the Icon to get it going, then speak into the external mic. Oh and also learn all those comands.
  12. What you need is a Toshiba 40gig 5400rpm hard drive for a laptop. As for location you can do a google search and get it from several fine internet web sites, or you can go to your local computer shop, or someplace like Bestbuy. The only fee you would pay would be shipping to and from me. You will need a #8 Torx head bit to remove the hard drive cover on the Z unit you have. You will aslo need a #1 Phillips head screw driver to remove the hard drive from the cradle. These 4 screws also strip out very easy, so be careful when you remove them. If you have any other questions just let me know.
