After reinstalling the software on the D3 and resoring the iPod now they play fine. I didn't care which was the problem just wanted it fixed, so not sure if either restore fixed the problem. Most likely the gremlin lived in the iPod not the D3, it's an earlier one that I dusted off to host files for my new deck, haven't tried my nano in there yet.

true enough, I meant in relation to the speed of the touch sensitive wheel on the actual iPod

when you have 4000 songs and try to find one that starts with a t it's pretty bad....

Just got my iPod cable installed and noticed two things. One the D3 seems to be skipping over all of my protected AAC files that were purchased through the iTunes stores and yes the interface is TERRIBLE. Any ideas on fixes for either? Thanks guys.

Ok bought my D3 off of ebay and I think I might have a problem. It is all installed ok and the bypass work great, video looks great, sounds even better, but the I am curious about my display.... when the unit is off or in the AV menu the background looks almost like brushed aluminum, not all black but kind of like horizontal lines all through the display. It's only the background, doesn't show through the overlays or anything. Unfortunately none of my local vendors have a D3 on display yet, is this normal? Thanks for the help.

Ok, this thing has like 500 miles on it and I don't want to jack anything up so I will post some pictures when I get home, but here is a general description of what I am look at: BCM mounted to the floor board with small plugs and fuses on one side, with two large connectors on the back, does that sound right? ECM mounted to the fender wall with a large plastic cover and a bunch of fuses on top? Thanks for the help guys!

Pretty self explainatory I can't seem to find the body control module, I am looking under the dash every where and must be blind or dumb because I cannot locate it. I have a few different boxes that look like they could be it but no clue which it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
