  1. fixed!! i got it back working thanks to http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/31463-pioneer-avic-f930bt-x930bt/page__hl__%2Bpioneer+%2Bavic+%2Bf930bt+%2Bx930bt the system files at that link.. i ended up deleting the entire user folder (wouldn't let me delete system) then copying the files from the user directory in that download. when i rebooted, it went through the system setup and booted up fine!! it even retained my previous settings(probably because the system folder wasn't deleted).. working on getting hack mode and the 940 update done next.. this site is awesome!
  2. Or if someone has the original x930bt full drive dump that I can just directly replace all of the files on there to revert to stock, that is fine too, as long as it will fix it.
  3. First off, I'd like to thank everyone on here for all the great info available. I've never posted really, but all of the info here has helped me a lot. Now to my current problem: I updated my x930bt the other day and had no problems at all, everything worked great. 2 days ago I decided to install condo's hack mode using the auto installer. The hack proceeded with no problems, but when I booted it back up I got the no applications available message. Unfortunately, I misread the hack mode directions and thought that it automatically backed up, but it obviously didn't, so I have no ba
  4. i have a x930bt and updated to the 940 firmware 2 days ago.. boot times aren't great, but are much better than with the original 930 firmware.. response times, however, are much, much better than they were before.. it's not quite realtime, but still, much better..
  5. i'd be willing to bet that the bluetooth connection issues is with the DInc, as opposed to the stereo.. I have the x930bt with an HTC DInc, and had problems with it also. I was never able to get the connection stabilized with the stock ROM on the phone.. I rooted and replaced the rom and no more problems. I can't vouch for every rom, but I know with skyraider 3.5 and up, CM 7+, and MIUI 1.9.16+ there are no problems..
  6. gotcha.. well, thanks for the info.. it sucks, and, imho, is one of the few GLARING mistakes in this otherwise great setup
  7. not that i dont believe you, but what hardware? we've got a mic input, i can't think of any other hardware that would be needed for it.. i can see software that would be needed, but not hardware.
  8. great response man.. Thanks alot.. I've already done the install/bypass, i just didn't hook up my vss wire yet because of this. i should be getting my traffic tuner in the next few days and will have to dive back in again, so i'll hook up the vss then.. Thanks!!
  9. so, I know that the 930 doesn't come with vr like the 920 does... but i also know that the 920 can be updated to the 930 s/w and still retain vr. I dont see any way that the vr would be tied to the hardware, so it's got to just be a software difference.. is it possible to get the firmware from an updated 920 and install it on a 930 and have vr enabled then? if this question sounds stupid, i apologize, i'm new to stereo modding and the 930 is my first touchscreen/nav stereo. I am a computer programmer and most electronics/software/hacking concepts come pretty naturally to me, and i'
  10. has anyone else confirmed that the vss (pink speed) wire will overrule the bypass and cut video while driving if it's hooked up? I'd like to have this wire attached to get the speed correction, but don't want to lose the video..
