I was told to not go the format route but it was the only thing that worked. You can try and highlight "DSK1" and select "Dismount" select "New" and rename it "My Flash Disk" when I tried this it gave the error "cannot create partition" but it may work.It took me a few tries to get it reformated...don't give up! I had the same problem and fixed it with help from this forum. Let me start by telling you I AM NOT A COMPUTER GUY! and know very little about this sort of thing but here is what worked for me... I have a US model F700 1.Put the SD card in the unit and start the car this should bring you to "Test Mode" (blue windows screen) 2.Using a stylus go to the Start icon in the bottom left corner touch it and go up to "Settings" then to "Control Panel" once there select "Storage Device" select "DSK1" then click Format (this will give a warning promt that it will delete all files)click yes.Ne

Thanks! Much better...I went from version 1.0 to 3.0 and WOW! Now I push the touch screen and it actually does something almost right away no more lag! It seems to boot up faster aswell. I got it!!! Ok, the answer was right in front of me the whole time I was really stuck on the EW backup files...I reallized after looking thru the US 3.0 files from my original botched uddate that all of the maps,lang,voice,poi's...ect. were right there...so I followed the same procedure for the EW install...format,copy/paste ect. Huge Thanks to Chris ya kept me going! and everyone else on this forum! Now....should I install the dafiata's mod? It's ready to load on an SD. The instructions say to reboot THEN remove the SD card. I want to be clear and not cause myself another situation. Reb

I reformated the SD and reloaded the update on it and am still getting "incorrect software on SD/USB" is there another update I should be using? Thanks Nick

Ok, I did not re format the SD card before switching over from the old 3.0 to the pioneer update.I did rename and rar the EW files. I give the reformat a try. Nick

Thanks for the incouragement! I took the original 3.0 DL loaded it up and it got me back into testmode once there I swapped SD to the EW backup files and did the EW copy/paste and again it warned of not enough disk space...so I popped the SD back in the PC and slashed and burned the US POI's the EW Voices,Buildings and POI's...put it back in copy/paste ect....this time it did not warn of free space so I let her rip....it loaded up everything. I followed the instructions...remove SD card,shut off car...with car off install 2nd SD card and restart car.Well it brought up the Update screen in

Well, Everything was looking good....got all the Maps,Poi's and DEMs swapped over removed all EW Maps followed the instructions....got everything started....watched as is was loading everything....it got just past the POI's and threw an error of not enough space leftand to delete items to make space. So I shut it down took the SD car back in and put it in my PC and deleteted the EW POI's and tried again....it got further but did the same thing...so I went back in and deleted the EW buildings and quite a few EW langauges I left UK english,AU english and Spanish. went back out tried again but t

I really do need all of the us maps...besides once this thing is up and running I wanna leave it alone for a while! LOL Yes once I verify the files work I'm gonna back it up.

Chris, You are correct.... APL2/iGO/Content/MAP I'm halfway thruogh downloading the US maps as soon as I have all of them I will extract them all to a folder on my desktop and switch them out with the EW maps on the backup files...I have them already extracted to an SD card. then I will let you all know. I'm getting there! I'm still DLing the US maps but in the mean time I've been searching the backup files for the EW maps folder, The only thing I have found that look like maps were the following files... LPUE080APL.HTM LPUE080DATA.HTM LPUE080DATA.VER LPUE080APL.VER The VER files won't open but the APL's will but start to extract when dbl clicked... I have basic Computer skills here and could use a bit for help with the map switching. Thanks!

Thanks again guys, Before I try and do this let me make sure I understand everything. I downloaded the EW backup files but to use them on my US f700bt I just need to replace the maps with the US ones suplied in the above link right? If so do I unrar the individual maps and replace them? Also is the backup file 3.0? Any tips would be great!

I downloaded Diaftia's mod and can't locate any maps. What am I missing? I only see speedcam.spdb,Speedcam Update and sys.txt
