Mine does the same, and others have reported this as well. For me, it happens when I first start the car. Once I take a turn here or there is is calibrated correctly. If I just drive in a straight line, it won't calibrate. I have to take a turn or two.

Tap into the grey wire on the traction control switch. Since you have the console off anyway for the install, it is very easy to get to. You'll have to strip back some of the protective black wrap to get to it though. This is what others are doing with C6's, and what I did and it works fine.
