yes, I have mines connected analog,I used to have a little floor noise but that was taken care of by the installer.

The z1 can control the volume for the deq 8000, it has to connected in a different way. only when it is in digital mode you cannot use the z1s volume. This is how mines is connected. I have to look at my setup again so I can tell you how to connect it.

So far i am very satisfied with the deq 8000, I had it for almost two years and it sounds great.

To exchange for another one will be your best bet. p.s. my routing problem did go away.

Outside is the best place for uninterrupted reception. on top of the dash is the second best for reception for inside placement with minimal dropouts depending on the area you live, anywhere else inside will cause reception problems.

I put mines in front of the sunroof.

I had it replaced by the tweeter store last week.

I think there is a problem with some of the units concerning the software.I had the same problem on my first unit with the ridiculous routing schemes,The unit was replaced and the routing is a whole lot better now.

I guess its worth it if you don't like bending slightly to touch the voice icon on the screen,and also it should have the bluetooth phone button.

I have mines in the optical 2 input to get the digital sound while using the front outputs. The pioneer techs I noticed this year are no help at all. When you have a troubleshooting problem, their response is "Take it back to your installer or like you said, "send it in for repairs" Last year the help was much better.

I'm getting a engine buzzing noise myself on the z1, tweeter is going to replace it on thursday.

more like a plastic cover for security purposes.

I want to know if anyone sells screen covers for the z1 or for any screens in general.

Guess I will call tomorrow to see if they have anymore in stock.
