  1. has anyone had success transferring the phonebook on a D3 with any verizon phones? if so, which model?
  2. yes... it is built into the rear hatch. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdet ... er=265-594 i just read that this is for the "roof antenna". so it looks like its the one. fak! its such a pain to put in one plug. off topic: i've been looking into rear cameras and wondering what you would recommend. here is one that caught my eye: http://www.boyovta.com/products/vtl300.html but i dont know how the quality/performance is. any recommendations?
  3. thanks... i will look into the exact model of the adapter. my model mercedes is very standard. all the c-class sedans/coupe headunits are the same from 02-04 and thats what i have. i appreciate the quick response! and will let you know once i find out if that fixes it. thanks!
  4. haha... good question. i picked out the wiring harness and the faceplate/adapter thing.... but my friend got he the antenna adapter, so i'm not sure. i will have to ask him. is there a particular one that i should have gotten?
  5. I have my a D3 installed in my 2003 c230 sport coupe and have had it in for a few months now. my problem is that the radio reception is and always has been horrible. i know for a fact that i installed it as the manual suggested, but i was just wondering if anyone else encountered this problem. or if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix it. i get some stations... but its never clear, and signal goes in and out. its absolutely horrible. i want my radio back! any advice is appreciated. thanks!
  6. Update. Started having the same issues with the replacement ipod. The other poster hit the nail on the head..which I also learned on Ilounge.com last night. For music videos (and possibly other videos), you have to go into the "Get Info" tab for each video, and UNCHECK the "skip when shuffling" (or whatever it's called) mode. THIS will allow the music video playlists to operate as intended. Apparently this is some quirke with either video ipods or Itunes. Has NOTHING to do with the Avic i hope this is something firmware can fix... please let me know if anyone finds thi
  7. yeah we already answered that above.... but i realized that you have to turn shuffle off in order for this to work (unfortunately).
  8. ok... after playing with my ipod video hooked up to my avic d3 i learned some new things... 1. you can switch between videos like everyone said as long as they're in a playlist AND as long as your "settings" has "shuffle" set to "off".... although once its set up and you're able to do this... as soon as you listen to songs and turn "shuffle" back on using the avic-d3 touch screen, you HAVE to turn shuffle back "off" via the ipod menu. i haven't figured out how to turn shuffle off using the avic-d3 and am not sure if that is even an option. anyone know how to turn "shuffle" off usi
  9. hey vblue42, what kind of car do you run your avic-d3 in?
  10. ok... after ALOT of trouble shooting... i singled out the problem... from the ipod's main screen under "settings" then "shuffle"... this needs to be set to "OFF"... it was previously set to "shuffle songs" and it was giving me the error. I also tried it under the "shuffle albums" and got the same error when i was trying to navigate forward and backwards through videos. i downloaded the latest software and it didn't seem to fix this weird quirk. at least i found it! i wonder if any of your ipods do the same? can you guys check if you can switch between videos in a playlist if the "sett
  11. From what your discribing, its sounds like you dont have the videos in a playlist. I havnt had this problom as long as the videos are in a playlist. Just make sure your videos are in a playlist. Also, if you have tv out turned on in the video settings on the ipod you should not even be able to watch the videos on the ipod, if you are able to watch videos on the ipod then you may not have tv out on. To clarify a few things: -i do have the videos in a playlist... using my ipod: when i select "videos" then "video playlists" my "playlists" come up and i am able to play the videos individuall

  13. ok so i have a bunch of music videos that i converted for my ipod that can play on my D3 when i locate and select them individually. i tried making playlists and "smartplaylists" and tried to switch from one video to the next once it was loaded and playing on my D3, but all it does is restart the current video that i'm on. i tried disconnecting my ipod to see if i could switch from one video to the next using the ipod only... and its forward and back controls and it doesn't let me do it either. it makes me hit the MENU button to go back to the playlist and requires me to choose the next mu
