  1. thanks for the idea. tried the reset, no help. now in addition to displaying the speed incorrectly the gps, even with all the satellites connected, is not working correctly. the direction is about 180 degrees off and the location is off to the sides of the streets i am on. looks like i am going to have to send it in to pioneer and hope these 90+ days go away since i won't have AC in the car while the hu is out.
  2. late last year i bought a 7200nex, installed it in my vehicle at the time and all was right in the world. traded that car in on another, a 2013 f150, and installed the 7200 along with a maestro rr. everything works as it should with the exception of the displayed speed. when in the nav screen if you hit the button on the lower left it brings up a screen with some gauges and in the center is the current speed and also the heading. mine is displaying a little less than half the speed i am actually traveling. at 35-40 it says i am doing 17. at 41-45 is says i am doing 21-22 and so on. i have th
  3. how is your camera powered? most installers connect it to the reverse lights, and in doing so it will only power on when that line is powered, or when you are in reverse. if you wire it to a switched power supply (ignition on) you can view the camera anytime you like. this is all assuming you have swapped the pin over for the bypass.
  4. 2 reasons. first, because the delay that the hu uses for bt to avoid the echo wreaks havoc with my processor, which also uses a minimum of 8ms of delay on it's own (and much more depending on individual speaker locations). second, because it is much easier to run the rear channels to the processor and fade the hu all the way to the rear. bt/guidance still play through the 3.5" i have mounted in the factory dash location on hu power while all other speakers are muted and i can independently adjust the volume as needed (say if i am driving on the freeway with the windows open and/or music loud).
  5. yep, i use the 50. never use the headphone jack. weird, mine experience has always been the same as yours but doing a side by side comparison the bt sounds better.
  6. a little update. turns out when it is connected via the cord prior to being on once the bt connects it pauses the corded play, not mutes. there is a good 3 second pause with no audio while playing but then it pauses, so i unpause and it continues. on a related note, i have found the sound quality of the bt streaming to be superior to the corded connection, something that goes against everything i have ever learned about streaming bt. anyone experience something similar?
  7. this was something that was really annoying on my last bt hu and it seems to be present here too. for example, lets say i am driving down the road and my iphone is plugged in to the hu and playing music. i stop to get gas, turn the car off, fill up and start the car. the music will start playing immediately but as soon as the bt has connected the music stops. i have to unplug my iphone and replug it back in to get it to play. there was no solution with my old kenwood as bt is programmed as the proprietary connection and supersedes the corded connection. each time i started the car i had to
  8. exactly. don't wast money one something you probably won't ever use again. go to home depot and buy some 12g wire, enough to reach from your car battery to a flat surface in the garage (twice), like a bench. follow the instructions above for wire connections and enjoy.
  9. thanks for the reply. if the phone audio only broadcasts via the front channels then i will be fine (i'll just use the rear outs for my processor and leave the single dash speaker connected via hu power). i'll have to experiment on mine once installed to see if it will still work with the hu faded 100% to the rear. i run a separate processor because the avic can't do what the jbl ms-8 can (8 channels of audio, active crossovers, digital time alignment, 31 band eq, etc etc) http://ms8.jbl.com/
  10. finishing up making a ddin bezel for my car to install my 110 and i have a question about bt. i run a processor and it has problems with the delay used to cancel echos on bt systems (it adds it's own delay, which wreaks havoc with bt) and was wondering if the audio is assignable for phone calls? on my current hu i have it set to only play calls through the front left speaker, which is a 3.5" in the dash not being used as part of the audio. it is powered by the hu and i have the hu faded to the rear only and then use the rear rca outs as the only input i need for my processor. this way when i c
