how high should the speed pulse signal go?
bryancx94 replied to bryancx94's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Well i switched to the other wire, no dice. I just disconnected it for now. The other really annoying thing is still the DEMO mode screen. After removing the VSS wire, i reset the unit once again. No luck. Anyone know how to correct this? -

how high should the speed pulse signal go?

yeah sorry.. 2005 chevy colorado ext cab. I tapped the yellow/black wire on the PCM. There was two of them, i tapped one of them and started getting signal when i accelerated so I assumed this was correct. -
I gotz an avic-D3 When I am stopped it's at 0 then as I accelerate up to about 10mph it hits around 100, as I go faster it goes higher, as high as 400 and the graph is all the way up. If i leave this screen open I eventually get irregualr speed pulse. I already tried resetting my unit, the vehicle dyanmics do not work either i get, function not avaiable, and i have driven about 500 miles. O yes i also get the shop demo screen loading when i turn my car on. I have tried numerous resets. Is this all related to the VSS wire being on the wrong wire? What's the average climb on the sp

That's normal. You have to turn the voice volume all the way down to totally mute it. I hate the turn by turn voice, I muted mine .. But i see your point in the difference between city and highway volumes. Just get accustomed to looking at the directions vrs. using the annoying turn by turn voice.

Here is the issue. Took my avic-n2 over to a friends to get soldered, he melted the pins off, and now I have an oval wax scab where the pins use to be. The Avic still works, question is this: I took the unit apart, it does not seem that those pins went all the way through the circuit board. Does anyone know if you can solder a connection on the top of the board to complete the bypass? I am thinking I am pretty much SOL, and will have to now operate the unit the "legal" way. After much reading I understand that I could put a toggle on the GPS antenna and ground the parking brake wire
