Anyone verify?

Is it just me but I cannot figure out how to do random playback of video files on my AVIC-X930BT. I am able to do random playback of MP3 audio files, but there is no option for random playback of video files. Can someone please verify that. That is just strange

I have the new AVIC-X930BT and was wondering if anyone knows if external hard drives (not USB stick flash drive) like the Western Digital Passport hard drive work this this unit (as it would with the USB memory sticks?
