  1. So, for the same price as the apple lightning to 30 pin adapter ($10 cheaper than the cable version of the adapter), this method proposes to do essentially the same thing, but with two cables (one of which is a male to male 3.5 mm cable that may or may not fit through case openings). I think I'll try my luck with the apple adapter for a 1 cable approach and still hold out hope for a new cable from pioneer that will even allow video. Given that apple has announced lightning to hdmi and lightning to VGA adapters, the lightning dock itself CAN do video...so perhaps so adapter/cable can give u
  2. Agreed. Sadly it doesn't look like the adapter will work. As I preordered the iPhone 5, I plan on picking up an adapter in person down the line just to test it and make sure. Ultimately it does look like a new cable from pioneer will be needed. I emailed them, but they said to check back in a few weeks
  3. I'm guessing a miswire I just installed mine in an 05 Mazda 3s sedan, I later did the firmware update...my bypass still works fine
  4. I had that problem too. go back into the settings, map settings, view mode, and change it back to either 2d or 3d
  5. use t-taps, they're seamless and easy to undo later as far as I know, that wired remote input doesn't feed any of the speed information
  6. I have a 2005 Mazda 3. I used the PAC SWI-PS on my car there was no vss wire in the harness. based on everything I read on Mazda 3 forums, I tapped into it (and it's working great) behind the speedometer. the reverse gear I picked up in the passenger kick panel. none of that is handled by the steering wheel adapter. my steering wheel adapter had several wires, but only ground, switched power and one for the control itself got connected to the factory harness. the rest I actually slipped the pins out of the adapter as to remove extraneous wires.
  7. I followed this video exactly and my bypass works. I can watch videos from my iPhone 4 ('tv out' on some apps isn't active on the iPhone 3GS), netflix and slingplayer mobile (haven't tested youtube) WHILE the car is driving. I do have my VSS wire connected, so even if that senses you're moving, it's irrelevant to the bypass. Furthermore, even though the mute is grounded, mute works just fine when using the radio and I have full use of bluetooth phone calls
  8. I'm guessing it's your cable. I'm using the pioneer cable with my iPhone 4 (I also did the bypass) and I'm getting audio and video. on a side note, Netflix streaming works well on the unit as does my slingplayer mobile (just need enough bandwidth to keep slingplayer mobile in "HQ" mode while on 3G. if slingplayer mobile is in "SQ" mode, then all you get is audio.
  9. x930bt 2005 Mazda 3 some badass Mazda logos in place of the VW logos from the custom background thread...I think it was around page 21-22 (I can't recall...I just went through all 70+ pages looking for Mazda logos and found little love. public posting is fine and greatly appreciated! thanks in advance edit...basically like these, but for Mazda, and formatted for the x930bt
