I am from the UK so OS versions may differ. I used RedSnow to jailbreak mine and it works ok but the jailbreak on mine is untethered. Tethered jailbreaks are frustrating because they require a computer connection to boot a jailbroken iOS device. Try and find an untethered jailbreak if you can. You will not be able to get the album covers on spotify until you have got the phone jailbroken and downloaded the DISPLAY OUT package through cydia

Do you think it would be possible to put a satnav programme onto the SD card and run it off there. Not sure if you can run apps off the SD card, obviously I am aware I would still need to get a GPS signal somehow.

It will be the same on the 4300DVD as long as you have the genuine lead and your phone is jailbroke and you have downloaded the DISPLAY OUT package through Cydia (It cost me $2.99 for the package which was about £1.87 in UK money) My phone was jailbroken as soon as I took it out of the box and I have had no problems with it at all. Spotify will work on the unit even if you do not have a jailbroken phone, you just get no display on the screen. The head unit can control the tracks in your spotify playlist as well.

I have recently bought a pioneer AVH-3300BT and whilst playing around with it when setting it up, i noticed that in the settings menu, there is a a setting there for "custom settings". When you click on it, it is empty. Does anyone know what this is for ???

Finally managed to get some photos of the new head unit, I am totally in love with this stereo, it is pure amazing for the money it costs, the leads out the front are a pain in the backside but a small price to pay for what the head unit does. I have ordered some angled USB and 3.5mm adaptors so hopefully I can hide the cables. This happened to me today, anyway you can have a background on but still be able to watch DVDs it painful keep turning it on and off. Lol
