I have a AVIC-F700BT-XS and it will light up the screen see the usb in the slot will not eject or will not accept a disc then in less then 30 seconds

all that works is the fan in the back no screen, no power to the buttons, no eject, all that seems to work is the fan it like boots no words on screen just the blue factory back ground color blue then like I said 30 seconds or less and nothing like powers down, all but the fan in the back of unit, also had a hum if I touch a rca connector to the frame of the unit firmly its stops humming. Please help which board do I need to look at replace or repair, is it the a/v board, power board meaning very bottom board, middle board I think is the a/v one and the top one not sure?? Please help me guys I need some insight to what steps or can any one tell me what the problem is could it be the main ic chip on the power board the very bottom board, I'm  kind of shooting in the dark here..

hey guys real quick can I get my AVIC-X920BT to except A  AVIC-F900BT face will they work im getting the zebra screen then black then lock down..

all you need to do my friend go to any auto store advanced auto zone and buy cheap TEST LIGHT 12 volt circuit tester and clip the to a ground surface make it secure champ on good and then turn on the key to the first or second click then take the test light gently in the back of the factory plug harness finds the wire that only lights when that key is on only not on all the time 

that's +12 volts You want acc 12 volts the one or 2 clicks with the key like said earlier then I like to use quick disconnect male and female spade connectors you can get the red or pink color ones they are usually 18-22 gauge wire connectors so make your connection and bada bing bada boom your in business

did u try and holding reset for 20 seconds or so then make sure to see of u need a new firmware update seems like maybe a boot problem but that flashing could be something may not be hooked up wrong or not a good enough ground make sure all connects are good and properly install correctly and grounds are solid and to a firm surface clear of any rust corrasion etc.

if this is no help repair time take it out and bring to a repair shop and maybe try to get someone u know and trust who is electronic component level repair tech and see what they can see what's up.

Silly I know but did you try and hold reset down for like 20 seconds or more to force the micro processor to clear everything in its path. Simple and if u tried no foul just putting it out there

did you make sure you have to tell it a positive or neg switch type how ever its hooked up and make sure in your system setting you will see polarity + or - so make sure how ever yours is connected its on the correct settings!!!!

it may be also of the level of the recording the mp3,wma,cda,etc. was recorded at the level that is a lot people don't understand and jack up the level a bit much and that will clip the preamp signal every time there for its always good to make sure its all flat when your making the recording you can always pre record and set your setting accordingly so your signal is not clip when your volume is on 23 when your HU is able to go to 45,50, etc. 

hope this helps some what can yall by the way look at mine and answer any one I got f900bt face and can it work on my x920bt. I got them dam zebra stripes then a black screen and the unit is like locked you can eject a the cd/ dvd  but nothing else. please look for my post guys thanks.

I am not sure if this will help or you tried this already but you need to go to menu or setting what ever on your unit and go to system and look for av1 av2 put them both on you may have like

ext, for external, and they have video, ipod, and I think theres one other setting you can do then try going thur  the front 3.5mm port again and mess around with them

settings. Also if you do a hard reset hold it in for 10 seconds or more, then there should be a setting in the menu or setting section called in initial settings and you get 

more ones only at the hard or full reset setting once only get it another words at the reset.. Hope this helped..

Here Is A fast And very simple try and maybe it will help you sounds like u may have a bad resistor plug makes what we call computer lash a installers slang but here's the fix try and 

take a alligator clip and take one end and clip it to any RCA connector coming out of the head unit then take the other end of the clip and clamp clip it to some where on the back of the 

head unit, ALSO take a lead to a ground point isolated from the head unit, then I want to try and run lead to amp ground, R.C.A. etc. If this is no help worse even try replacing your SPARKS

PLUGS. I hope this helped you I love to help people no matter what I sorry if I bombed out for ya, I tried for ya so no biggie, You know now I think of It you could have a diode going bad in 

the alternator, acts like a leaky CAP in that its intermitting not consentingly..

Again I am sorry if I failed ya my friend hope we get some kind of a positive result somewhat out of this adventure..

I am not sure my friend if you have access to any other plugs maybe laying around easy, easy  fix all you need is a tiny, tiny  flat head screwdriver very, very gently lift the little white plastic

tab there remove a wire you don't need or if you have no access to plug with the pins in them you can find them online and you will have to make it your self, anyway lift the little white tab

remove the wire you require to fix your missing plug wire in your 16 pin plug or what ever harness the reverse is in and gently side it in you will see a little like spike metal piece sticking out

on the pin make sure you insert it in the correct way it will lock in and bingo your on solid ground once again.. I really hoped this help you I have done so many I see them in my sleep most

avic-f900bt face will it work on a avic-X920bt? if not I got these zebra like stripes then the screen goes black no video I cant hear no audio lights on side of

deck but nothing else no reset button no where on here I didn't read no update software for this problem can I just replace the face and will it fix the problem or is it more intense problem

inside the unit itself deeper. Can someone please steer me in the right area as what to do please guys I really need any and all of you all's expert advice and help im so screwed here as what to do..

First thing first will the f900bt face plug up to and work with my X920bt both of course avic models... Waiting desperately for yalls help please, please, please..

eOk Gentlemen here is your one and only free laugh on me,to get your cracks in insults what ever i deserve it all problems are fixed accept the nav app disc asking for.But heres what happened the BYPASS was already done to it dont ask me how or why or who but the one owner who bought it for 1234 dollars back a few years ago had it installed at a circuit city or so i was told maybe comapny no worries.Well he didnt have nothing done to it and then was sold to my brother thur a friend of the guy who had it so my BYPASS i DID I REVERSED EACH STEP AND GUESS WHAT PERFECT....So again thanks guys for all the help that was tryed to and given to me i love this forum anbd all the intellgence in here so again GODBLESS you all d\for all...

MY NAV Problem Please insert App Disc mess.. Now Since its been sittin around for a little bit and has been disconnected

from power sorce and does not have a harddrive base storage unit its needs the disc maybe to likereboot the system and get everything rollin again????

IF any one can help me by lettin me gewt a copy of something or get some files what ever the case to help me out i need any map for EASTERN UNITED STATES For years 2009 and up i would imagine would be sufficent..... We Live In Florida

Update gentlemen i got it off MUTE by unpluging the rca plug or removing the yellow/blk wire in the top slot it mutes it permiently.. un okuging or pulling the yellow/blk wire out get it off mute but here another kicker now

we are also gettin the video cant play error mess. And its asking foir appoc disc when its been disc without power doesnt it want to see the disc once it pluged back up to power since it nots hardrive bases headunit..

Ive been in and out of the forums and looking at all the possible things that may have helped before I beg for the gods in this channel to help me.

Here my problem have a avic-d3 did the bypass it worked i thought.The nav section wants the app disc inserted and my brother has no remote so its stuck on Mute.I know i told him he must get a remote but heres another kicker the system today while he was driving said a error mess with the front seat viewing is prohibited mess. So i told him to do a hard boot on it and reset it and it seemed to have fixed that..

We took the pin in the rca section moved it up one pin and made sure serperate grounds,for the three that needed to be yellow,green,black,

btw its 2001 Gmc Serria 1500hd 4 door. nothing else on the sound system right now slowly building it.. Another thing the reverse wire the vss or speed wire I found on pin 50 in the engine bay compartment.. but the reverse wire is not hooked up. Do these wires have to be vss and reverse

for the bypass to work. I mean i got the vss wire hooked up but the other one i figure it just for the camera input to make that av part of it work not sure though.

Please i now turn to the gods to once again solve a problem us near mortals cannot. seroius any help would be greatly appreicated.
