  1. Yeah, unfortunately, I think my only recourse at this point is to send the unit back. Even though this problem surfaced while the unit was still in warranty. By the time the problem morphed into a permanent failed state (rather than just intermittent) and I went through the troubleshooting process instead of just ripping the deck out and fedexing it to CA, I've allowed the warranty to expire. I'm really torn about this. I spent quite a lot on this equipment just over a year ago. I'm interested in if other users have sent in for a failed BT chip and what the repair costs ended up being.
  2. Not sure I know about a 'hard reset'. I've reset all factory settings from the deck while on...I've also disconnected the battery to the unit. I've looked for some sort of reset button on the unit but was unable to find one. The problem began appearing a few months ago while the unit was still in warranty, but it was intermittent. Just to round out the info, I am unable t

Anyhow, my BT disappeared over time. At first it only happened after my car was left in the 100 degree heat for awhile. I'd get in and boom, my phone wouldn't pair. I figured, ok, doesn't like to be cooked in the sun. No problem, it didn't happen that often. Eventually, a few weeks ago, it stopped pairing all the time. When I called support, the guy was pretty direct and not sympathetic, but took me th
