  1. Wishful thinking but.... http://www.macrumors.com/2014/03/12/pioneer-airplay-compatibility/
  2. Well iOS7.1 is out. Anybody who has done this upgrade notice anything different with App Mode?

    CarPlay?

Apple introduced CarPlay in their new iOS 7.1 update yesterday. Anybody tried it with an AVIC-X920BT? I had some apps before but I'm wondering if this is supported by the latests Pioneer Firmware... Which by they way is what version? Anyone know if Maps been updated?
  4. All worked great for me! I have no idea what the Mirror AV is for... Seems to do nothing for me .... App mode IS available but not very useful unless you have your hands on the iPhone. My MotionX GPS Drive app works.... Music and all.. but I haven't figured out how to 'talk' to it. It still seems like I have to have the iPhone in my hands to find directions to somewhere. (I'm in Canada so Siri doesn't do squat yet.) I still can't use the Off Hook button on my steering wheel controls to get Siri's attention... I have to press the iPhone button and hold it to get Siri to talk
  5. Finally! I got the output of MotionX GPS Drive to display on my Pioneer AVIC-X920BT. I had to go to: Home screen>Goto Settings > Goto System Settings>Switch AV1 to Video. Then I selected the AV 1 LInk icon on the left of the display and presto.. (MotionX was running on my iPhone 4S). However... No joy listening to Music while in this mode. I tried press play music on the MotionX interface, but it just presented me with a list of songs, I selected some, pressed done, but nothing. Also no Phone while in this mode. I had to go back to the AV Source and Select iPod but then I loose the Mo
  6. 11-11-02 1:53 PM Good day Brian, There is no firmware download that will add the APP mode functionality to the AVIC-X920BT. However I will review the details of the current MAP/APPLICATION update, product number CNSD-210FM available for purchase via our web store, to determine if that program will add the functionality. 7. AVIC-X920BT Firmware 2.003 It seems like there is no album artwork when you are listening to music from SD Card.... Also it VR doesn't seem to work either. I wonder if VR doesn't work because I have an iPod connected at the same time as the SD Card is installed.
  8. My iPhone 4S paired fine. AVIC-X920BT (factory firmware)
  9. Does this update add App Mode to the 920? If it does does one need to change the cable from a CD-IU50V to a CD-IU51V? I've been told these cables are identical... I'm in Canada, so I never got to use Pandora, Msn Direct is canceled... I'm not sure about aha radio, but really I'd just be happy if my MotionX GPS Drive would work on this unit. And for that to happen, I believe I need "App Mode".
  10. To which firmware download are you referring? I have the AVIC-X920BT (I'm in Canada and I thought it would be pointless to upgrade to 2.03 as it clearly says for US). But are you suggesting there is a a different download I can / should use?
  11. Being able to convert the 920 into a 930 by software upgrade would be cool... Has anyone succeeded?
  12. If there is no SD Card in the AVIC-X920BT, with POIs then the AVIC FEEDS icon on the head unit will be disabled? Has anyone gotten the AVIC-X920BT to work in "App Mode"? I have an iPhone 4S and a CD-IU50V Cable? I tried a CD-IU51V Cable and still no App Mode. Help? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eENlrLY6BVY
  13. Hi, I own an AVIC-X920BT, an iPod and an iPhone 3G. The system was installed with an iPod video cable and a parrot integration with the cars steering wheel buttons. It has the latest 2.0 firmware (Canada) (And the only firmware that there ever has been for that matter) 1) -------------------- AVIC FEEDS is always disabled on the head unit. I was told you have to put an application on an SD Card.. Any info? The only thing I've been able to do with AVIC Feeds is to add an AVIC feed contact to my contact list. Which is quite difficult to find at the head unit. 2) -----------
