  1. After so many issues with my bypassing, I finally got it to work. But now I realize that when I try to navigate at night, my 'red arrow' still moves when I'm at a stand still. So I checked CONNECTION STATUS and realized that my SPEED PULSE is at 39-40 when I have the headlight on! When I turn off the headlight at a standstill it goes back to 0. Is this a problem with my harness or install? Can anyone let me know what wire dictates the speed pulse please?? I can't navigate at night
  2. I think my installer messed up the connections of m y X930BT. I first noticed the screen on my x930bt gets really dim when I am not in the 'P' position of my gears. Basically as soon as I put it in gear other then the 'PARKING GEAR', the screen becomes really dim. So when I'm in 'R, N, or D' it becomes dim. So I went into the picture settings, and when I switch the gear shift in and out of 'P', I noticed that the picture settings icon goes from a sun to a moon. When in 'P', its an icon of a sun. When it's in 'R, N, D' it goes into a moon icon. It's going from day to night mode, but
  3. I think the installer messed up cause when I goto map settings and change the day/night display to automatic and then change gears the map goes from day to night when I switch out of P into R or D. So something is seriously messed up. The system should be detecting based on my headlight switch not by my gears Anyone else have this issue or is everyone else's by headlights
  4. I held down to the 'mode' button for 2 seconds and was able to adjust the picture settings including the dimmer adjustment. While in the picture settings, when I switch in and out of P, I noticed that the picture settings goes from a sun to a moon. So I'm basically able to adjust dimmer settings for when I'm in Park and in gear, but the system is thinking its day and night. So does this mean my installed messed up and misconnected a wire to my gears instead of my headlight module? Is anyone's like that or is everyone's dim when the headlights are off/on
  5. I noticed the screen on my x930bt gets really dim when I am not in the "P" of my gears. Basically as soon as I put it in gear, the screen becomes really dim. Is that a wiring installation issue? I thought it only gets dim when I turn on the headlights, but it seems like it doing that when I drive not when my lights are one. When I put the gear back to "P" it becomes brighter again. Help please!!!
  6. Ok I found out what my problem was. Although the yellow mute wire looked like it was good an snapped in there and stayed in there....it wasn't making contact. So my installer took a regular wire and spliced it, folded the contacts in half so that it would be thicker in girth and stuck it in there then connected it to ground with the parking brake and it worked!!! So those of you having issues, it could just be the mute wire. Don't be deceived if it fits in there snuggly, if it doesn't work, it's not making contact.
  7. My installer ran all everything to harness ground, which is wired to the main ground of the unit. So the ground should be good, because it's the ground for the whole unit
  8. Can anyone that has successfully bypassed their unit answer this question? Do you guys still see this message: "system detected improper connection of parking brake lead" Will it say it no matter it's bypassed or not??
  9. Sorry I meant to try out the harness for experimental sake. The place I bought my unit from is really far from me. Wanted to make sure it's my harness before I drove out there. Another question for all of you successful bypass people. When the unit is successfully bypassed will it still say: "system detected improper connection of parking brake lead" Or will it say that all the time even when it's been bypassed.
  10. Ok that gives me hope. Hopefully my tech can get his hands on a harness tomorrow, if not I'm going to possibly hit up Best buy and buy one and return it after swapping out harnesses.
  11. My tech that's done this a million times pulled out the mute wire and it looked good. He reinserted it back next to the red wire. He suggested to try with a new harness just for the sake of it. He will get one from Pioneer tomorrow. I have version 3.000 on there and everything is supposedly hooked up right. He double checked it. It shouldn't be the software cause it's the sameone as everyone else's. If it is the doing of pioneer then there would be alot more people on here indicating that's it's not working for them cause mine was manufactured in May 2011. My tech buys directly
  12. My other tech has bypassed a lot of these units and he reconnected the yellow pin and regrounded the parking, mute wires together and no luck. He does have the speed sensor wire hooked up. My unit was manufactured in May 2011, version 3.0000 I'm ready to pull out my hair!!!! Still doesn't work!
  13. When I click ok, the message goes away but I'm not able to do anything in motion. The icons are faded and when I try to watch DVDs it has a pop up screen that says 'watching videos in motion is strictly prohibited' I really doubt it's the software, or at least I hope it's not. I'm gonna have another installer look at the mute wire. Anyone else with this issue??
  14. I just had my installer follow instructions on the bypass and it didn't work. I am getting the 'improper connection of Parking Brake lead' error. I'm going to have another installer check the mute wire connector connection and the grounding of the parking brake, ground and mute wire again to make sure everything is contacting. I just bought my unit 2 weeks ago, software shouldn't matter right?
