I am very pleased to finally frickin say that this bypass WORKS! I downloaded the image and ran the update and went through perfect on the first try. Grounded the parking brake and "Connector 2" wire and drove and it plays videos and allows me to use all the possible functions I could only use when stopped. Just in case people were wondering, I have the Z2 that first came out. Mahalo!!!!!

Here's my setup: Toggle Switch to ground and e-brake VSS wire cut (disconnected) Reset all calibrations (saying sensor initializing...) I followed the directions on what I'm supposed to do and the FIRST time it worked. After that it comes and goes whenever it feels like it. It works till 30 mph, 40 mph, and sometimes only at 10 mph. I checked the wiring and made sure everything is connected properly but nothing is helping. Any suggestions? Mahalo in advance for the replies.

I may be wrong but it worked for me... I was debating if I wanted to hook up my illum. wire because it was so bright at night but I noticed something. When I was playing around with the dimmer setting at night I made it to the lowest setting, then before I turned off my car, I turned off the lights and it got brighter. So I decided to turn on the lights again and my screen got brighter. Which got me thinking... Isn't the illumination wire exactly for that purpose? So when at night it gets dimmer? What is the illumination wire for? Do I need to hook it up? I have an 05 Tacoma, where would I hook up the illumination wire? Do I need to hook up the reverse wire if I don't have a rear view camera? Mahalo everybody

I wanted to make custom wallpapers for my Z2, what's the pixel size for it to fit perfect? The actual spec size is different when inputting those numbers in photoshop. Thanks!

I have XM Navtraffic and the Avic`Z2 working perfect. The only questions I have is how it works. Does the reroute option only kick in if the traffic/construction/etc. is going to conflict in the path of my destination? Does it reroute automatically so that I don't have to be clicking too many buttons while driving? Thanks for the help guys!

I just purchased an Avic-Z2 and haven't received it yet but saw that I can only play DVD's while in park or only for rear view passengers. Is this true? If it is, is there a way to bypass this and still watch DVD's while driving? MAHALO!
