  1. asd255, Thanks so much for the contribution!!! Does your map license crack turn WARP off?

    Speed sensor

The speed sensor becomes extremely useful when in a city or tunnel where the nav can use it to estimate where you are better than using just the built in gyros. If you don't plan on being in a lot of tunnels or downtown NYC then leaving the speed sensor wire disconnected is fine.
  3. The only gained features I am aware of are: Updated maps Android advanced apps support
  4. I used the super test mode key. You put it on the root of your SD card and reboot the unit and it will boot into test mode. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35110-avic-f40bt-testmode-fixed-firmware/&do=findComment&comment=256194
  5. Did the upgrade today on my x930bt. Took exactly 24 minutes. Matt, yes this is exactly the same upgrade as the one pioneer is selling for $120.
  6. I just upgraded my x930bt to 4.0 from 3.0 and now my bluetooth audio streaming does not function when paired using my galaxy s3. It worked great with the 3.0 x930bt software. Did you ever find another way to do it? I use the bt phone too much to have to switch back and forth from audio to phone manually... **EDIT** Nevermind, I flashed a new kernel on my GS3 and it works great now.
  7. You have to also use the aux in input, the one that splits off from the usb cable, to get audio. The headunit does not support sound via usb. I know its crazy that they would do something this stupid but this is the only way (I have family with iphones and we have to do this every time in my car). Check out the owners manual page 22 for a picture, http://www.pioneerel...anual030212.pdf The picture shows an integrated usb and audio plug coming from the phone. I just use a regular usb ipod/iphone cable and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable.
  8. LOL, this is a classic case of two people just not being on the same page. Sorry for all the confusion. The x930bt/x9310bt does use the standard Pioneer 16 pin power harness pinout. Pin 11 is in fact the correct location to tie your reverse sensor wire to on the radio. Hopefully that is the confirmation you were looking for.
  9. Ok, let me start over... It seems I got confused by your second post. The brown with yellow stripe wire found in the drivers side kick panel area (as you already know) gets connected to the violet with white wire on the 16 pin pioneer connector to get the reverse camera to switch on when in reverse. The brown with yellow stripe wire does not have a corresponding wire on the subaru side (20 pin harness). I used a vampire tap on both the brown with yellow stripe (reverse signal) and green with black stripe (vehicle speed sensor) and then wired them to their corresponding wires on the pioneer
  10. Ooooh, sorry I misunderstood your question. On page 16 of the installation x930bt installation manual it tells you what you want to know (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Navigation/AVIC-X930BT_InstallationManual040511.pdf). The reverse signal wire on the pioneer 16 pin harness is the violet w/ white wire.
  11. The reverse sensor wire is not on our 20 pin factory harness (I have a 2011 Legacy). You have/had factory nav, there is a secondary connector that contains both the speed sensor output and the reverse sensor lines. If not then you will have to tap into the reverse sensor line elsewhere.
  12. My Galaxy S3 works great with my x930bt for bluetooth streaming audio.
  13. Pionara, can you make an x930bt upgrade thread for this?
  14. Its the same bypass as the x930bt. In fact its the exact same radio as the x930bt.
  15. I have a 2011 Legacy and my volume buttons have been having the same issues with my x930bt. What technical bulletin was that?
