Thanks, I'll give it a try.

I found that one also. I have no clue who the host site is thus I wouldn't download from there. I don't need anymore junk mail or spyware.

I no sooner type that and come up with four on the first page!
-
I searched 5 pages using the search function and key words before giving up.

Can someone point me in a direction to download or view a N2 parts diagram or breakdown? I'd like to take a stab at repairing my unit since I haven't had any luck scoring someone willing to fix it.
-
Well, I tried several times and variations of trying to load POI's on this thing, no luck. Looks like this will become a work truck radio. I'm really disappointed with the capabilities of this radio. For the coin I should run out of ideas before it runs out of features. Zumo shopping I will go..............

I like the idea behind this site as it is brand specific.

That intro is to the point. Welcome to AVIC 411 Drew.

Ok who is the resident repair man (Or woman) on the site? I have an AVIC N2 that as the sticky post describes won't cooperate. Well I made it worse by making it do what I wanted it to do. SO I can see I need a new gear on the screen side and possibly a tension spring. I am no repair man and have no desire to go in there thus why I asked who repairs units from this forum. I can PM you my number if you have more questions before you commit to attempting to repair this.

Update: As per all of your suggestions I went out this morning and started checking out the possibilities. The voice command from one speaker made sense so I started there. The voice does indeed come out of the car speakers as suggested above as opposed to what I thought was a internal speaker. With some more testing I found that the voice comes from the front channel only not the rears. This is why I wasn't hearing it in my headphones as they are driven off of the rear outputs. So I swapped my connections and than realized that I would not be able to hear the voice unless I had my headpho

Thank you. I think your on to something.

Now that could be a possibility. It is definitely worth looking into. If that is the case I guess I can wire in some sort of switch to toggle from one set (no headphones) to the other (headphones).
-
It is on because I can hear it just fine without my ear phones in. Keep in mind without ear phones I run the radio in the 50's volume wise and at about 9 with the ear phones! It is baffling to say the least.

I just need the navigation and MP3 features on a bike. If entering POI's has to be done manually this thing is useless on a bike. Having the dealers is a must while travelling. The Zumo is able to take them without having to type the several thousand entries in. I'll keep working on it before I pull it out and toss it in the work truck.

Thank you for the reply. I guess that is a no on this camera! I don't use the camera for anything other than a novelty. I was going to remove it however it is just as useless on the shelf so I left it on the bike.
