    only thing that makes me wonder about formatting the flash disc is the SDMLC_NN746_EW_sn00aa0f file writing process but then again what do i know !!!

    thank you for your help trulf just to clarify then 1. Turn unit on. When the pioneer logo comes up, Step 4.1: press and hold the menu, map, eject buttons at the same time and hit the reset button. Step 4.2: Once you hit the reset button, you will hear a pop sound from your speakers. Step 4.3: Then the DVD/CD drive will load. When you hear this let go of the eject button but continue to hold menu and map buttons. This will bring you to a blue screen where you will have to enter the service combination. Step 4.4: Press the volume knob in this sequence and you will see * signs for each p

    still not sure on the exact process of upgrading to be honest tried tonight and it didnt work realised that i chose the " wince format" option and dont think i need to just reloading fx3 and maps 2 back on now i will suss it it !!!! or someone will tell me what im doing wrong !!

    just noticed the "replacing" EZRIDER.EXE i deleted mine and wonder if that made the difference ???

    didnt work for me avic f900bt firmware 3.00 maps 2.00 just hangs on splash screen then reboots i noticed that the license folder on my unit was in the same as ezrider not sure if thats anything to do with it. Go into the iGo/CONTENT folder. On my unit this folder is located in the APL2 folder. Delete the MAP, POI and LICENSE folders Copy the MAP, POI and LICENSE folders from the SD card to the flashdrive of your unit Copy the EZRIDER.EXE to the iGo folder, replacing the file already there thanks anyway much appreciated.

    all back up and running !!!! if you are like me and have the following IN THE UK avic f900bt thats hanging / rebooting then follow this http://avic411.com/i...o-files-needed/ a big thank you to tail24 and whirlwind !!!!! everything you need is there i tried this http://avic411.com/i...complete-guide/ but it put me back to square 1 !!!! so i reinstalled from whirlwinds / tail24 tutorial and im back it leaves you on firmware 3.00 and maps 2.00 once again big thanks to everyone who has spent time to help on here

    thanks to all for imformation i have a f900bt. was all good and now isnt !!! have tried this fix a couple of times and now i know my way around the unit etc i realise that i have the wrong files im in uk and these are the files that i think are wrong NN746UC_SDMLC_0_108009984.IMG ive used LPUE080 from pioneer website (think thats ok) also took winCE files from there ive used http://webdesignsfor...lash%20Disk.rar the euro back up for the disc image ive even got to update to 4.00 but unit just hangs on pioneer screen ive tried updating maps from here http://avic411.com/index.php?/top

    my phone was a blackberry by the way and the bt is pretty pants to start with was never too good at streaming music via bt new iphone 5 does not miss a beat
