  1. While reading the manual for the x950bh, I notice that it says App Radio Mode for Android works via Bluetooth. (That is if I'm reading it correctly). I assumed it would be via MHL or HDMI. It would be amazing if they updated the X940bt to be able to use App Radio Mode for Android as well. I'd be pretty happy. I had little hope of it before, but if it works via Bluetooth, that would be pretty awesome. (Although, I'm thinking it would have to be limited functionality via BT). Hmmmm. Edit: Although, on looking at the installation manual, it clearly shows you need MHL to HDMI or HDMI to H
  2. Looks like the X950BH offers an HDMI port on the back so that you can use an adapter and have full Advanced App Control for Android now. Also, the X950BH has built in HD Radio and built in Traffic. The X850BT looks to basically be the X940BT with some cosmetic differences and built in traffic tuner. Meh. Not really impressed here. I use Android, but don't find myself wanting to use Advanced App mode as I don't see anything of use on it. I prefer just connecting via bluetooth personally. I must say, the built in traffic tuner might have been nice. I wonder if t
  3. Just to add, I contacted Aha regarding custom Slacker stations not showing. They only offer 150 of the pre programmed Slacker stations on the app, none of the user created stations. Since my last post, I did add some Slacker stations to the presets on Aha and I notice none of them show on the head unit either. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with no support on the head unit for the heart and block icons that the app uses vs. the thumbs up and down like Pandora and the others use. Hmmmmmmm. I did find some articles from September 2011 saying, "Unfortunately, the current P

Apparently it's not listed on the US site, but people that did the x920 or x930 update to x940 are up to this same FW version. Since I started with the X940bt and my unit is working perfectly, I personally won't bother.
  5. I've noticed that custom stations I've created on the web via the slacker website do not show up within the Aha radio app, even after linking the account. They show up fine on the slacker radio app, but not within aha. Only the generic slacker stations show. Anybody else having luck with getting the stations you create to show in Aha?
  6. I believe using the hack posted on this forum, you lose Mute. However, I know I had a pro install done and they used a microbypass and I still have mute. If you search on youtube, there is a video for the other method using a microbypass, which I believe you can do yourself.
  7. No. It just allows your head unit to audibly read status updates from your feed.
  8. Hello all, I just got a new x940bt installed today and I must say.... I love it. Anyhow, as I don't really have any use for an iPod (I've got several Zunes and Android phones laying around), I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to get the head unit to see an old iPod that I had sitting in a box doing nothing more than collecting dust. I've formatted it as Fat 32, plugged it into the USB cable since it's too old to use the iPod interface on the stereo anyhow and I constantly get the "Authorization failure. iPod is not connected" message. Would anybody happen to know i
  9. Hi. I was hoping somebody might have an answer to a question. I'm looking at two units, the Kenwood DNX6980 and the Pioneer AVIC-Z130bt. I think I'm going to go with the Pioneer, as I like the extra bang for your buck (plus it seems to not have as many issues with Android pairing), anyhow, is it possible to split the USB and the AUX IN so that I can easily swap between ipod and USB (or plug in my Zune via AUX for audio)? Perhaps even run an AUX cord to the glove box and a USB to the glove box, then just keep the propietary Pioneer iPod connector in there and connect when needed?
