I recently bought a Z-140BH and like the unit for the most part. The one thing that drives me crazy, though, is how long it takes to startup from USB. I can start my truck, drive through the neighborhood, turn onto the major road, get on the highway and be to the next exit before the music starts playing. It takes, on average, between 3-5 minutes to load up my 64gb thumb drive to play the maybe 30gb of music. Is this standard, or is it any faster in other models? Can I use a USB 3.0 thumb drive to speed it up? Everything else loads up and is ready in under a minute, the only thing I have

I was having some problems figuring all this out as I bought my Z2 about 6 months ago and immediately upgraded the hdd to a 2010 Z3 80gb drive. I purchased a kingswin USI-2535 from Frys to connect to my laptop, but nothing. I read some reviews online and saw that it was severely underpowered and causing problems for many others. I returned it and got a SIIG USB 3.0 to IDE/SATA 2.5" enclosure and the magic happened. Im updating as we speak, I'll let you know if it goes smoothly! I read all the posts and all the supplemental info in links and such and was able to figure it out. Thank you

Ok, Im completely new to the avic series and have a z2 installed in my explorer, and had a couple questions. Sorry for asking a question thats probably well known, but is there anyway to record mp3s to the hdd? All my music is in mp3/wma format and would like to put it all on the hard drive, if at all possible. Second, is there any way to make my background picture fit the whole screen, or will I always have the bars on the sides? I tried resizing my images to the size recommended as maximum, but still have bars. Thanks in advance!
