  1. So paying Pioneer for the head unit is just to have something to plug you ipod into. I think you missed my point.
  2. I'm not sure why, but now after executing the manual connection I described above everything works spontaneously as you'd expect. The only operational difference now between my old iPhone and the new GS3 is you must push play to start music streaming. The player starts in pause mode. The iPhone begins playing as soon as it connects.
  3. This forum is filled with questions regarding compatibility with this iPhone or that Android, and which Bluetooth versions. Meanwhile I can plug a 64gb SD card in the head unit that has all the music, video and album art I ever wanted. Why don't they just enhance the player functionality when using SD so it's not so brain dead? They certainly have the processing power but the player is less functional than a 10 year old version of WinAmp. Honestly if I could just load all my music and playlists on SD and access it via a decent and functional UI I'm not so sure I give a $&);/ about
  4. Who's using Aha radio with a Galaxy S3? It has me stumped. I've change the connection mode to Bluetooth but can't seem to establish a connection. According to docs Aha app uses Bluetooth SPP mode to connect, however I can't find any config for SPP on the GS3. There's some chatter on the Adroid forums about GS3 and ICS breaking SPP compatibility by "improving" security. I guess it's pretty secure if it can't be used:( Has anybody out there got this to work?
  5. Got it working. Audio connection has to be started from the player not from Bluetooth settings.
  6. From the perspective of my Galaxy S3 it connects to my 930BT successfully in both phone and audio mode. However from the Bluetooth screen of the player the phone appears to be perpetually connecting. No songs appear in the directory and although play can be pushed nothing plays. I have played with the Bluetooth settings and re-paired numerous times to no avail. No A2DP success. However today I discovered another way that works. Rather than connect via the Bluetooth settings start with the Android Player app. Use the menu ( lower left) button to share via other device. Select Bluetooth, con
  7. My new Galaxy S3 won't connect as an audio device. Phone works fine but audio connection just hangs in a "connecting" state. Both 930 and phone report the Bluetooth is hooked up but the player screen is unresponsive and shows connecting next to the device.
  8. Use itunes or media player to automatically organize songs Artist>Album>Songs. Install Doubletwist on your PC. Import music collection, playlists etc. Mount SD card to PC via USB. Doubletwist will now sync music to SD creating a folder structure Artist>Album>Song
  9. Download Double Twist and install it on your PC. Use menu to import your itunes music, files and playlists. Mount SD card via USB as a mass storage device. Double Twist will now sync your media to the SD card. Note if you use itunes or another media manager they will automatically organize your media into folders by Artist>Album>Song. I have 5000+ songs on SD and this so far avoids exceeding folder or file limits. Coming from itunes you will not get album artwork but I'm experimenting with tools to see if that can be imbedded as well. All this because my 9310 will not connect

    2012 Maps

I bought the 2012 Navtek update and installed it about a week ago. I thought I'd post my impressions of its value for others to consider. I live in Ottawa Canada and the previous maps were frankly lousy. Many area's of the city, built within the last 5 year were not accurate or even included. Rural areas close to the city were patchy including only major roads. POI were very thin with few restaurants and even the major museums and national sights missing. I thought the 2012 upgrade would be a dramatic improvement. It was a disappointment. Urban maps and near by country side is marginal
  12. I frequently dial into conference bridges, extensions, it's etc from my car. However once I dial the 10 digit number I can't figure out how to get the dial pad back to dial an extension, bridge access etc. This is a major pain. Anyone know how to get the dial pad back while in a call, or how to insert pauses and timers extra digits in a dialled number? Thanks
  13. Any advice on the best crossover settings to use with a sound ordinance B-8PT? I've currently set them to 80hz both sub and high pass. I've also set EQ for 40 and 80 to flat and adjusted the gain on the sub by ear. I've also tuned the sub low pass to 80 and set it's "bass boost" to flat. I'm more concerned with keeping the sound clean with decent bottom than thumping. Any advice?
  14. OK I finally found in the "reading wiring" section blue-white can actually mean only blue. Who knew??? Used the blue wire and everything works as expected.
  15. Hi all, my first post I have an AVIC 930bt OEM in a 2012 Subaru WRX STI Hatch. I just installed a Sound Ordinance under seat subwoofer and am using the line level sub outputs to drive it. As a result I need the +12v power signal lead to trigger the amp in the sub to power on. According to the install guide for the 930 this is a blue-white lead in the power connector. My problem is there is no blue-white lead. Does anyone know what pin the signal is on. I've tried to find a pin out for the connector on the forums but can't. Thanks in Advance
