Guys, I am getting a new App radio 2 with the android kit installed next week and I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy Note II Rooted. I have seen some people say the MHL cable supplied with the android connectivity kit is not suitable, so can someone advise me what cable I need to advise the installer in advance. Thanks Robbie

This has zero to do with appex, it is your headunit and phone

it seems as though there is a BT update in the pipeline for our units : http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/landing/products/update/car-io6.html If you look at the charts for iphone 4s with IOS 6 at the end for AVCRP it has the yellow triangle which indicates a BT update but (to be announced)

Pioneer AVH-8400 has advanced app mode but you need the correct cable and with that the app radio app and appex works with it same as the two dedicated units.

Has anyone an idea at all if Pioneer are bringing out firmware for our head units, as there is no facilty to do so and there are many bugs I think we would all liked Ironed out. Anyhow heard anything on the grap vine ?

Hi Guys, I have migrated from my First Gen App Radio to the AVH-8400BT(BH for US/Canada) but have a few questions that any current owners might be able to help me with as the manual is crap : 1.) If you have your iPhone or iPod connected and your start your vehicle and the bluetooth auto connects your phone it mutes the iPod (current work around unplug and replug the iPhone or connect iphone after BT connects) my BT Audio is disabled but does anyone know how to prevent this ? 2.) Hey Guys I have just swapped out my App Radio (First one) for a AVH-8400BT (bought it second hand but no mic) I am assuming the appradio mic is 3.5mm if so I am assuming the one for the 8400 is 2.5mm if so I can get an adapter but at the moment I am stumped anyone got any specs on plug sizes Thanks :-P
