Thanks for the help Tail24, with a combo of your files and posts, plus a few other files sourced here on avic411, and the extremely well written sticky in this forum, I was finally able to get the old bird up and running again. It was most definately a challenge, not for those with short patience or faint of heart, but it ended far better than a $150 + shipping option on ebay! Thanks again! B

This procedure can be a bit complex at times, especially if you are like me and the screen calibration is so far off you can't hit the start icon!!!!!! I had to substitute the CECMD interface for all the start/files/etc......it can still be done, but it is more difficult. The file system doesn't like to copy from SD to MyFlash but after a couple hours I managed a workaround for it. But in the end, when all else had failed, this method worked for me, taking about 3 hours from start to finish. I'm not all that savvy with torrents. I'm currently in process of downloading the 8.4gb, but it is painfully slow. After it finishes tonight I'll mess around with it tomorrow and hope for the best. And I did spend almost 4 hours searching through threads, but again, i'm not that familiar with torrents and the p2p sharing. First, I read just about every thread on here last night, and the reason i'm posting is the majority of the links seem to have gone bad at this point.
