1. Well, I went to my local tuner shop, and they ordered one for me for $50. Should be getting in next week. I'll obviously let you guys know how it is after I install.
  2. Heyy, is anyone aware yet of exactly what the limitations would be of the GEX-P10HD if used with the N2? From Pioneer's website: "Compatible with the following Pioneer headunits: * FH-P800BT, FH-P8000BT, DEH-P700BT, DEH-P7000BT, DEH-P600UB, DEH-P6000UB "External Control" capable with other Pioneer IP-Bus headunits, a/v receivers and navigation systems, with some limitations of display and control. Please review Owner's Manual(s) for more details."
  3. The same exact thing happened to me. The backlight went out and when I brought in into service at PC Richards, they sent it off to Pioneer. Pioneer returned it with a new sticker over the points. When I removed it, not only was the trace I drew on gone, but the points were scraped or dremeled off completly. What specifically is the method that you are talking about that can fix this?

    Bluetooth
It typically autoconnects when using the Z1 or 6800DVD or DEHP9800BT and bluetooth. With the D and N series nav systems, they were not designed/recommended for bluetooth use, so they recognize the CDBTB100 as an external unit and may/may not autoconnect. The Parrot will likely work better with a D1, D2, N1, N2, N3 because they aren't supposed to work with the bluetooth adaptor. Next year looks like it will be better, as the D3 has full bluetooth functionality
Which Parrot are we talking about and how will it work with an N2? Thanks for helping a
  6. I called Pioneer about this as soon as I received it. Basically I told them that I would like it fixed/replaced right now because I would rather not have to worry about it breaking one day and me not being without it. They then told me that it would only be replaced right now if it was defective, but if and when it does break, then they will replace it for me. At that point I asked them what would happen to me if this breaks on me in 7 years and at that point they no longer make or stock this cable or if they were out of business. The lady on the other end had no answer and told me to have

You could also use the Peripheral PXA02, it will give you an iPod input, RCA jacks, and a 1/8" headphone jack for inputs(audio only). Plugs right into the IP-bus input.
I have a multi-cd player hooked up to the N2 through the IP-BUS already. Is there anyway I can still use this method for an mp3 player? Thanks!
Yeah, you'll need a cd-rb20. That'll give you an aux input and allow you to keep the changer.
Thanks bro! I def owe ya for the help.

  11.
You have to pull up the silver sticker on the head unit and either solder between the two points or use a circuit tracing pen to connect the two. Also ground the parking brake wire
I see instructions here for an N3, but how is it done for an N2? Will just grounding the parking brake work, or does this system use the vehicle speed sense as well? Can the trick that is used for the Z1 (so-called flasher mod) be used on the N1, N2, or N3?

Should I also disconnect the VSS wire? Thanks
