  1. Haha! My grandma lives in Flushing. I've been wanting to go back there and visit her for ever!
  2. It does do that!!! This sucks, do you think they could fix this with a software upgrade? Are the other AVIC units like this (Z,N,etc)?
  3. Would you mind starting your own thread? Unless, I missed something that has nothing to do with the current discussion.
  4. I've come across an annoying issue with my D3 and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I'll enter an address in the D3 and start to follow it. Sometimes it will send me down a street (in this case a canyon) that I do not want to take. So i'll take the canyon I always take, but then i'm stuck with "make a u-turn when possible" every 10 seconds. I'm used to my mom's Lexus (OEM system) where it will just reroute you. I've tried the reroute button, but that doesn't always seem to work. Another example was when I was on vacation last summer. I was following my mom who was in her car. We w
  5. Hahaha. Yeah the Sync sounds cool, but after seeing the quality of my g/f's Mustang, I don't think i'll ever buy a Ford product.
  6. Yeah I think i've seen you around. I'm one of the guys with the Supercharged 3.0s. Right now I don't have any trim pieces on my d3. I ended up breaking the bigger trim piece and i'm going to reorder it soon. This time i'll be a little more careful. When I get it all cleaned up i'll post some pictures.
  7. Let me know if you find out. I think he's on Audizine.com. Try a search if you want.
  8. I saw that too. I think he cut part of one of the trim pieces so that the smaller piece could sit farther back in the larger piece. Were you able to get the outer trim piece to fit without breaking off the tabs?
  9. Do you need the ADT-VA133 if all you need is that plastic ring so it fits in to the Metra? Well I dont know exactly.... I have custom brackets for my Z1. It's secured and installed already. I have a custom face plate, which I think I want to ditch. If the Metra kit would fit perfectly around the Z1 I would be fine as I am sure I could find way to secure the bezel. But it seems I need that extra plastic piece to make it fit all flush. Yes you need it, it secures the Pioneer to the dash. If not it just sits in the dash opening. I drove around like that for a week, not cool. O

  11. The screen does not work any more (just the top part). I was trying to see if I could interface it with the Pioneer via the ip-bus, but there was not enough info out there to see what could be done. It's probably not worth it anyway.
  12. Good luck. Oh and supposedly you put the dash kit in first and then the metal cage for the Avic. I coudln't get this to work and ended up messing up my dash kit.
  13. If the new A4s are anything like mine ('04) you should be able to use the OEM plug. On mine it was in the trunk on the driver's side. I ordered a cable from here, but you should be able to use this one and pull off the tab on the side that goes in to the Pioneer unit.
  14. Hey what's up. I have an a4 too. Here is what you need: Metra 99-9102 Pioneer ADT-VA133 That should get you setup like the first picture. Make sure the Metra is the double din one, it will have a bar in the center that you will have to cut out. It's not the one with the pocket at the bottom. Let me know if you need anything else.
