  1. I'm stupid. For future Googlers, the camera video input is different from the general AV video input. It's a brown RCA jack on the side with the audio inputs. Again, DON'T use the yellow video input for the camera. It's up and running now.
  2. I bought this head unit new a little over a year ago and just decided to hook up a camera. I have everything hooked up correctly and upon testing it for the first time, when turning the rear view cam on in the settings (I have it running to constant 12V when the ignition is on so I can turn it on myself), the camera operated for a few seconds than sporadically cut off and back on until finally staying off. Now, whenever putting my car in reverse or manually turning the cam on, it displays a black screen. However, when switching to the AV input, it works just fine. Of course, doing it that way
  3. Update: I'm stupid. The head unit WAS saving my database all along. The first time I saved my database, the "DB" icon disappeared. Every time I started my car, the "DB" icon was back. I assumed this meant the database needed to be created again. I didn't realize this was normal. I realize now, I can choose between file and tag view, indicating that the database is saved, but as fatfurrycat explained, stuff doesn't play in the correct sequence in tag view, so I don't see the point of using it. Finally, some album art still doesn't show up after using CoverScout even though it seems to m
  4. For future Googlers/members, Nothing solves my database saving issue. I've converted the tags, but there is no difference. Since I'm browsing by files instead of tags, everything plays in the correct order, so I guess I don't really need to save the database and the issue pertaining to playback in the wrong order is null. As for album art, I used CoverScout. It was the ONLY thing that worked. It was tedious and when I tried using it on the files on the flash drive, it kept crashing, but when I used it on my iTunes library, it embedded all of the artwork. I then transferred my library to th
  5. Thanks for the help. I got another flash drive and loaded 55GBs of music (my entire library) and I'm currently converting all the tags to ID3v2.3 in iTunes. Looks like it's going to take a few hours. I hope that works. I'm gonna try Bliss and DriveSort too. Fingers crossed.
  6. I use a Mac and all of my audio files are tagged/sorted using iTunes. I'm using an 8GB SanDisk Cruzer formatted as FAT32. I've got a few hundred MBs of free space left but for some reason, the head unit will not save my database. Every time I start my car, I have to create a new database. I click "yes" to save the database and it tells me it has indeed been saved. Before someone suggests it, I have the constant 12V wire hooked up correctly as the unit never loses time. Another issue I'm having: some albums don't have album art, though I went through my entire library and ensured that e
  7. I am considering getting an AppRadio 3, but wasn't sure if I could plug a flash drive in the USB port. I MUST have this functionality. Anyone know? Thanks for the help.
  8. The previous generation AppRadio can access music and videos from the SD card, right? With AppRadio Plus installed? It's so hard to find info on this with most of it being in French. I might have to consider the older AppRadio... but I too am interested in the media station. I wonder if it would do album art and track info, etc.
  9. I really want to get the AppRadio 2 but I was hoping there was someway to use a flash drive/hard drive loaded with my music and videos. The thing is, I intend to wire the iPhone cable directly into my car's factory iPod port (how I have my current headunit setup) so I will only be able to use the iPhone connection with my iPhone. Is there any way to use the HDMI port with hard drive so I could store my entire library in my car at all times instead of relying entirely on my iPhone. This is the only dealbreaker with this headunit. As much as I love my iPhone, I would still prefer using a flash d
