  1. Thanks you're so money... Is this the product: http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?lev ... ue&An=text
  2. I want to mount the metal plate for my xm antenna and gps antenna on vinyl (on a surface underneath my rear hatchback window). I don't want to use the adhesive bottom of the metal plate because I heard that it's really permanent and if you remove it it can leave marks on vinyl. I'd like to have maybe a velcro surface for the metal pad with a non-permanent adhesive on the bottom of the velcro surface (I hope this makes sense, it's hard to explain), but any other non-permanent adhesive that will stick to vinyl will work for me. Any ideas? Thanks guys for all of your help on my successful
  3. A couple of things you can check: 1) check that the mute wire pin is securely fastened and locked in place into the new position 2) check all of your wiring and make sure there are secure connections 3) try a reset
  4. I wanted to thank you all for all of your help, bypass and everything works perfect!
  5. Doh I forgot to ground the mute wire--- So I can tap the ground wire with both the mute wire and parking brake wire, right?
  6. I've never done a car install before, and I'm not that technically savvy, but with all the help on this forum, and the Crutchfield techs I was able to do most of it--I'm not quite done yet, still have to do reverse and speed wires tomorrow--but my unit works right now (not navi). And I made a perfect dash trim fit. Anyways the point is that I think it's doable by anyone... well not anyone but most average people
  7. For those who are interested--the Crutchfield tech answered my question-- The orange/white illum LED from the pioneer goes on the orange LED on the aftermarket wiring adapter, NOT orange/white--it's the only wire that doesn't match. Also, they said I don't have to connect the blue wire--is that right? Also, I tapped my ground connection between the two wire harnesses with the parking break wiretap, is that right? For the bypass?
  8. The parking break lead has a wiretap on the end--can i tap into the ground from the pioneer wireharness to the aftermarket wireharness and ground the parking break that way (using the wiretap)?
  9. NECRO, thanks, your flash guide is amazing. On the wiring harness it says that orange is illumination and orange/white is the dimmer-- So I am assuming that orange/white on the receiver goes to orange/white in the harness (the dimmer)?
  10. Are those the REd and Yellow? 12v switched on and 12v constant? And will there be enough current coming through those leads to supply all of the accessories?
  11. So I am going to do my first ever install tomorrow by myself--you guys make it sound so easy. So here's what I plan to do: Disconnect the negative from the car battery. 1) I already switched the mute wire location for the bypass (excellent info on this site esp the flash demo) 2) I will solder and tape the wires from the D3 power connector to the appropriate wires on the wiring harness 3) I will cut the parking break wire red connector thingy and strip it then solder it along with the ground wire from the power connector both to the ground wire on the wiring harness. 4) I will figure out
  12. crutchfield is simply amazing. I'm amazed.
