my installer didnt even use the z130bt mic, he used my existsing z1 mic which he said was better?

thank you everyone for this. I did it successfully!!!! A word of advice for anyone that is attempting to do this. READ EVERYTHING IN THIS THREAD! It should help prevent unnecessary posts as I've seen here. Most of the questions have already been answered... Thank you everyone once again!

question how did you burn this? There is 2 files.. .mds and .mdf Burn both as data? or..

thanks for the reply. But mine wont even attempt to load or install. it just say cd inserted... doesnt do anyhting.

im hvaing the same problem with my z2 ive burned with nero and windows burning mutliple times. it just says cd inserted.. some help me please?

SORRY. it was the lime green wire that i grounded not vss. i beleive that is parking brake sense

i grounded it so movies could play when im driving? but if it is grounded, will gps not work?

same thing happned to me, if u have a scoche wiring harness connect blue wire from screen to red wire on harness

noo not at all. theres a damaged z2 at a local pawn shop, just going to get it from there. thanks for everything guys.

please can some1 tell me i really need to know asap. i have a z1 and my hard drive is toast, and i can get my hands on a z2 hard drive all i need to know if it willl work? there both 30 gig hard drives but not 100% if it will work

i dont know if its the hard drive for sure though. the harddrive seems to be fine, since it was recognized by my computer. and it was readable...... why am i noty gettin the error message when i start the screen??

i connected the hard drive to a PC. using this connector.

thing is shouldn't i get the hardrive error message? i checked the hardive with a computer and it was detected and looked working? i wonder fi theres a fuse or bios reset inside the z1?

i guess. what are my options for gettin it sent out for repair? contact pioneer? i woner how much that will cost...

i took off the hardrive when i dremelled it. okay ill try that, but theres no switch, i looked with a flashlight, theres nothing!! i tried adding another layer on the bottom, stil doesnt do anything...

i did simulate the same position. i used wire cutters to cut the tray then when my friend came ove, he had the proper screwdriver to remove the hard drive. we then took off the hardrive and i used a dremel to fix the bent cuttin caused by the wire cutters.
