  1. They aren't much better at the moment. Kenwood's stance right now is wait for Apples adapter...
  2. Sorry for the threadjack, but what is that iPhone holder? That looks like exactly what I'm looking to do to hold my iPhone.
  3. That doesn't make much sense. Why would the SD slot be any different than the DVD? Especially considering neither a supposed to be played while driving up front.
  4. I finally finished hooking up all the media for my car. The one problem I'm having is with the micro sd. It plays the video perfectly in the front seat but will not send the video back to my headrest monitors. I set dual zone to mirror av and still nothing. I know the video out is fine because I can send video from my iPhone back with no issue. How do I enable the SD card to send video out from the video out? This will be really helpful so I can use my iPhone for music and the sd slot for the rug rats in the back.
  5. The only thing I ever use the advanced app mode for is if I feel like using Waze for GPS rather than the onboard navigation. Other than that, the rest is somewhat gimmicky features. The one thing that I am not crazy about would be losing the video streaming from my iPhone to the device. This is somewhat of a big deal for me. Having said that I am still getting an iPhone 5 and until things get sorted out will use Micro SD and **err** DVD's.
  6. There hasn't been a single time that my radio has not thrown a communication error if I have the radio launch pandora on its own. The only way for me to get it to work is start pandora and then push the radio button. Am I missing some order of things? X940bt with iPhone 4 with official cable.
  7. Now just don't drift off watching a movie while driving.
  8. I'm pretty sure that is the case. Without the bypass I'm 99% certain that you cannot add destinations for GPS or configure BT devices. Seemed to be a common complaint that the radio is crippled without the bypass. Do the bypass and I can assure you that it will open up.
  9. So this is for the reverse sensor. Pop the kick panel off by fuses. Take the 14 pin connector out count from it facing wire side towards me, count 11 from top right over, correct?
  10. This is awesome. Thank you so much. I installed part of the headunit this past weekend. It was getting dark so I decided not to push the VSS or Reverse wire as I had to open it back up next weekend to wire rear monitors and steering wheel control. For the GPS - I cut out a small hole in the back of the radio opening to snake the nav antenna to the front of the dash out the defroster vent. There is 1 spot by the center that the square piece fit perfectly. For the BT mic, I ran everything around the drivers side, up the side airbag. I'm not thrilled but I have the wire under the he
  11. Where did you find that info? I'd love to get a sheet like that for my 07 Ody. It would be a huge help.
  12. Is there a way to have the album art show up as the primary focus of the music screen? I primarily use Spotify or audiobooks and neither fills the album art "scroll wheel" with next or previous album art work. I was wondering if there was a way to just show the artwork as the primary display while playing?
  13. Are your tracks embedded with the artwork or is there a sidecar .jpg in each folder?
  14. I just installed the 940 today and began playing around with it. So far I'm pretty happy with it after poking around. One thing that is driving me nuts is in GPS when en route it shows a red line to what I assume is the direction of your final destination. Is there any way to turn that off?
  15. Hows it going. First post here and looking for a little advice on planning the install for my in car media setup. I have everything ordered (should have ordered from Crutchfield) but with Amazon it splits it off into about 10 shipments. Either way, I'm trying to plan out how to run everything. The system will consist of the following: AVIC X940BT Headunit CD-IU51V Pioneer official iPhone cable ASWC Steering wheel control adapter 2x Headrest monitors (will receive rca out from headunit) Backup camera Mounting / installation hardware + bypass I have a pretty good idea how to execut
