1. sweet, i thought that might be what happens but wasnt sure.
2. So i removed my pioneer AVIC x710bt from my last car so i could sell it, as my new car all ready has navigation. But i forgot to remove all my personal info (saved addresses and my synced phone book). Is there anyway to clear that without reinstalling it? Is there a reset/clear button on it that will do that? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
3. I searched and searched but have not found what I am looking for. I need to re calibrate my touchscreen on the D2 cause all of the buttons are off and I cant touch anything near the side of the screen. I found how to get to the service menu on the D1 but I can not get it to work for the D2. Does anyone know how to get to the service menu on the D2. I really need your help wth this. Thank you.
4. some times you need to go to the settings and select modify current location, wait a minute or so after the unit is turned on or drive to a street that is straight and then change the location of the arrow manually.
5. Ok, the knob under the source button on the bottom left of the unit has broken off, i have the knob but the pin that comes out of the unit snapped, the pin snapped flush with unit. is there anything i can do to fix this? The pin comes attached to the unit right?
6. cool, im going to re-hook it up tonight then
7. I have my unit bypassed right now so i can change the nav options while driving and have video. My VSS wire isnt hooked up because some one said it would not let the video bypass work. Is this true. I cant use all of the vehicle dynamics options right now because i dont have the VSS wire hooked up and I wanted to get that to work. Will there be any problems? Thanks
8. Ok, i got in a big traffic jam yesterday so i had time to mess around with my nav. This is what you need to do. Zoom in as close as possible, then go to the setting that lets you adjust current location, cant remember what section it is in, not hard to find though. Then first select the position should all ready be in the right position, then hit OK, then you can adjust what direction the arrow is pointing and presto, your arrow should be pointing the right way now.
9.
Hmmm ... nahh it should work. The only thing I can think of is that you are not getting all the satellite reception necessary to determine your direction or something. Time to call Pioneer maybe ... wish i could help more, sorry.
thanks for your help. ill give my local shop a call and see what they say.
10. i tried that little arrow button on the bottom of the screen and all that does for me is point the arrow north or south, i cant get it to point the way you are traveling. My little reciever thing is in the middle of my dash right at the bottom of the windshield and the wire is coming out of it towards the nose of the car. Any ideas?
11. I get that same problem. My arrow is usually pointing straight up instead of the direction of the way i am traveling. Is there any way to set up the nav to have the map move so its poitning the way you are traveling kind of like every other nav unit does.
