Awesome thanks. Yeah I figure if I use a three way switch I can use the third to cut all power. That way I can just flip it on when needed. Good news my radio came in today so it will all be installed tomorrow. Maybe I will post a video of it when it's all done. Also decided to install my apple tv using the hdmi. To bad there's not video out 2 zone with it. That would be perfect

So i will be getting my appradio in two days. So my question is does anyone know if the wire for the reverse lights to run the rear camera is just a 12 volt power led. So when the power comes on the lights the camera comes on. My idea is to add a front camera as well. So if the camera is only activated by the wire getting just power from the rear lights. Then i can add a video switch to control two or more video inputs. Found out what happen my iphone did an auto update to ios6 and it messed everything up. So i just installed everything on my ipad og. So i should be good for now. Or until i can test it all out i get my appradio in two days. Thanks for the reply.

I been a broadcast engineer for over 20 years. If it is a true standard hdmi plug that means you should be able to also use a hdmi switcher to add Xbox and apple tv (og version) and switch between two connection. Also you should be able to use it as an output to be able to send out to hdmi monitors or get an RCA to hdmi and push video out to say rear monitors. So watching a video from the iPhone can be extended to rear monitors. That's if it is a standard hdmi port. But I'm guessing that pioneer has it dumb down to only go one way as many tvs and such. It would be interesting to find out

Has anyone been running the non beta appex. Is it stable I used the beta and crashed my email. Also is it still ios5 only. Mike on another note I am working on getting the API. Not sure if it will cost me. But willing to pay if you think it will be helpful to you. I have my develop lic but hardly ever use it. Pioneer has got back to me about the API I just have to call and find out. I'm working on a app for personal use and wanting to use it for the radio. If it would be helpful I can see what I can do.

Hey Mike like the work you done so far. I was wondering have you contacted pioneer and got their API for their stereo. I wonder if it would help with some of the bugs. Thanks again for all the work.
