  1. No Clue! But that would be sweet if you figure it out! Let us know!
  2. I messed around with it, and I don't see anyway of selecting the nav function in the source selection screen. I don't think it's possible, you have to hit the nav button along the bottom. Not an inconvenience in the least in my opinion. In fact, it’s nice to hit a hard button and go straight to the nav.
  3. "What do you mean "ground the parking break"? I am a real newbie when it comes to installs. please spell it out for me. and is there a video of the bluetooth compatibility?" An example of grounding the wire would be terminating it on some piece of metal on the vehicles frame. "what kind of headrest do you have on that volvo?" Those are the factory headrests. I removed them and shipped them to California for a custom install. Total cost was $779. Driving over 2000 miles for Christmas without a peep from my two kids in the backseat: PRICELESS!
  4. By "play" I assume your talking bluetooth hands free. I don't know why they wouldn't, but you would have to check with Kenwood to find that out. Their website has a list of compatible phones. the Treo 755 might not be listed if they don't update their list often.
  5. The volume lowers and the music continues playing. You can adjust the volume of the nav commands so it isn't quite so startling and you can adjust which speaker (front left, right or both) the nav commands come from. It isn't annoying in the least, but can be jarring if you have the hav volume up loud. Have you already made a decision? I LOVE my DNX7100!
  6. I'd LOVE a sweet Volvo logo or S60 R background for my nav screen! Resolution is 480X270. Thanks Play_Her!
  7. Here is a review I wrote over on c|net after they gave it an undeserved score of 6/10!!! Fools. Pros:Incredibly fast GPS by Garmin. USB interface for Music/photos. Flawless iPod integration. SOOOO easy to by-pass!!! And quite a bit less $ than similar competing products. Cons:NONE! Oh, well the iPod art is somewhat small. But most other products don't even go so far as to disply the art! Full user opinion I suppose to someone who tests products everyday the layout might seem quote “cluttered†or “dislocatedâ€. But to someone who uses the product every day will soon find the l
  8. I figured out how to make it show up on the Source Select page, can't remember specifically unfortunatly. I think it has to do with the video output settings. I'll dig around and try to find it. But it can be done, mine is not grayed out.
  9. Not to hijack your thread FF2MOE, but I just finished installing my kenwood and absolutely LOVE it! I was so surprised to see c|net give it such a bad review that I had to go post one of my own! http://reviews.cnet.com/car-gps-navigat ... &tag=uolst A few of you have questioned the USB functionality: You cannot have your iPod AND another USB device connected at the same time. The system won't support a USB hub. So yes, you'd have to switch the device manually everytime. This however is not difficult to do if you route the USB cable from the unit to a handy location, like your glov
  10. Thank you for your service to this country. We have much to thank you for. You might take a look at the Kenwood DNX7100. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-8rXO1s1kRz ... NX7100#Tab It has duel zone capabilities. Hope that helps! Take care.
  11. Not to mention you can simply pop a SD card into the unit to update the navigation as opposed to buying new discs!!!! I just wish you could put music on the SD card and play it. Perhaps you can. I'm just waiting for Scosche to come out with their install kit for my Volvo and then I'm putting the DNX in!
