  1. Hello all, I have an android smartphone, paired via bluetooth to the AVIC F930BT (upgraded to F940BT). Phone calls, contacts, everything works good. If I have an incoming phonecall, the music volume decreases automatically and I can use the bluetooth carkit to speak and listen to the person over the car speakers. Android has the "Now" functionality and I can give voice commands and get spoken answers if I, for example, ask, what the height is of the Mount Everest, the phone gives me the answer in spoken text. The voice commands are allready working via the bluetooth microphone, c
  2. Does anybody know if the hardware of the avic-f950bt is (about) the same as the 940bt and 930bt and/or it might be possible, to upgrade the 930bt/940bt to the 950bt? If I understood it well, the 950bt has also the appradio mode for Android.
  3. Thanks Radeonorama (and Pionara) for the explanation and the files! The reason that I am hesitating a bit is because of waranty and because it is a companies-car. Can you tell me the differances with the 930 firmware? - New maps - Are there new functions within the navigation app (does it looks like the 930 navigation program or has it a new design)? - Advanced App mode for Iphone - For Android only the Aha Radio funtionality? - Other changes?
  4. This sounds promissing! Before I will give it a try, with my f930bt, is there a possibility to make a complete backup of the original 930 software? Do I have to copy the flash drive, or do I need the original 930 software/installer to restore to the original 930 HU, if this upgrade does not work, or if I would go back to the 930 setup for som other reason? Or isn't it possible at all, to go back to the 930?
  5. After reading a lot of posts en looking at the Pioneer website, I am a bit confused...will the appradio functions work with Android on a X/F900BT series HU, upgraded to the latest firmware (940BT)? or is this functionality only for iPhone?
  6. Does anybody knows if this also will work with the Avic-F940BT/Avic-X940BT, or similar HU's with firmware 4?
  7. Hello Ralpharn, Thank you for your answer. I will not touch any file or folder before I am 100% sure of what I an doing. If I Don't succeed in understanding it,I will not change anything on the unit. The only thing I did, was running the auto installer hackmode 2.21 In the prg1 folder I also found the hackmode folder, so I thought, maybe is this the modified folder, because the prg0 folder does not have that sub folder. I will keep on reading, but any extra explanation would be appreciated
  8. Hello, I try to understand the basics of the things on this forum and of the Pioneer units. I have read a lot of threads and post, but still have some questions. I hope, someone can explane them to me (even when I maybe have overlooked the answers in the other posts). I have an avic-f930bt I did not do any mods so far. The only thing I have done, is run the hackmode v2.21 once and I am now able to start in the WindowsCE desktop and look through the folderstructure. Now I am wondering: - Am I right, that de hackmode did some changes to my Pioneer unit? - Is it right, that th
  9. Hello you all! I have a avic-f930bt Can I upgrade this one in the same way to the avic-f940bt? (I believe f940bt stands for the European version?) Had anyone already upgraded the same unit? If yes: Will it only get the firmware upgrade or also the new maps? I first want to make a backup of the stock unit. I only have started the condi's hackmode v2.2 once and made it to the windows desktop. I will be able to backup from within the windows desktop, started by the hackmode. But am I right, that the hackmode has changed/copied some files to my unit already? which files are tho
  10. I am also interested, if the firmware (f930bt) update has been included in this one and if it will be possible to use the AppRadio functions
