At last I've updates from 2008 to 2012 European maps on my Hd3 II - seems to be running a lot faster too Happy!

What year maps are these? I was hoping to get a free download If I cant find a free one I might consider yours. Will this update the whole unit software or just the maps? Thanks

Does anyone have the latest european maps to update my hd3 II with please. Currently have 2008 maps (just got the vehicle) so looking to update my system. Many thanks John (I have seen TomTom european maps on torrents - can you use these or are these just for standalone TomTom units?)

I've just had EXACTLY the same happen to me - everything ws fine and did exactly as you described above. I have no idea where the antenna is or what it looks like as the unit wsa fitted with the car. More help would be appreciated. Does it take a while to learn things? Thanks JP

Hi, new to all this so please bear with me and help me out - remember we all started somewhere Just got a VW Transporter T5 with an Avic HD3 II unit (at least thats what I think it is - is thre a way to check what model it is). It did not come with any map cd's or a media number (previous owner 'lost them' apparently!) Found this forum but a little confused so please can you help with a few questions: - I have a HD3 II unit - how does this equate to the 'Z' units on here (are the HD3 II and Z units the same but called different things in different countries?) - how do I tell whic
