I actually removed my cigarette lighter and installed this dual usb flush mount. I love it and best of all my car wont hold my usb cable hostage and I also hot swap flash drives very easily now. Is will answer this the best I can, You can mirror movies to the back with an sd card or play movies off a flash drive with usb 1 or 2, however as soon as I plug in my phone it disables playing movies on my headrest monitors. its like some weird safety setting I cant get around. I dont have Sirius but I use android auto and carplay with the 4100nex.

I just download videos off of youtube with 9xbuddy, in 360p mp4 format to keep videos files small or 720p with larger flashdrives or the sd card. When I'm feeling lazy I use free youtube downloader to download whole playlists. You may also have some luck with using handbrake and divx converter for dvd's. I just click on divx mobile and everything comes out looking great.

Correct It works through mirrorlink through the usb cable. If you have any issues use another usb cable as the headunit can get picky and let us know how it works for you on the usb 2 port

No Mirrorlink and Most of the units are resistive as opposed to the the capacitive screens from the previous year.

On your Iphone You need to go to settings, General, then Siri and there is an option that says Allow "Hey Siri" Since I'm Jailbroken I have two additional options for While charging and for Always. Also On my 4000NEX and 4100NEX Hey siri works through the Mic perfectly or you can hold the home button on the radio.

It might have to do with the resolution. I use mp4's all the time using http://9xbuddy.com/ You just have to copy and past the youtube link and I choose 360p or 720 to keep the file size small. Video looks great too. You can also try the divx conver from divx.com and choose divx mobile as the output. Please also remember that if you have mp3's and movies you have to choose either vieo music or pictures from the headunit.

I updated the firmware and Bluetooth on both the 4000 and 4100, and I'm going to be honest it drove me crazy for a while but I had to use microsoft edge instead of google chrome to download both files and put them on an sd card instead of a usb flash drive. I use the divx converter after I steal youtube videos in MP4 then turn those into divx or avi with the divx converter and then play them on the P1400dvd so that should work for you too.

The version of HTC car is the one on the download button not the google play store link. Instead of adding apps to HTC car Just use it to get automate and add the apps to automate by using the little red star next to the music icon. You can add any app or shortcut from your phone including waze. Please note from time to time you should keep checking the link to automate because they update it frequently. There is a google plus page for it and if you have an issue or feature you want the developer will add it almost instantly.

Just use mirrorlink with the two apps I mentioned and you wont have to buy any wires or apps, Automate is always being updated and Ive customized mine to dispay my name and have other added features. You can even add other apps to automate. Just go through the settings

I don't actually use the car app its just a method to get automate on the screen and use that exclusively. Also if you double tap the home button on the head-unit that side bar on the left will disappear and everything will be nice and full screen.

Yes according to the mirrorlink webiste http://www.mirrorlink.com/phonesthe note 4 is listed as mirrorlink compatible. I know I've used this method for my sisters HTC desire 816 which is how I found out about the HTC car app. A bonus for HTC phones is if you close the app the whole phone shows up on the head-unit with full touch control.
