  1. did any one PM you? i also have a Z1 with "unreadable disc" error
  2. has anyone tried using the CD-TS37GP ( guidance speaker)? I put a Z3 in a '68 camaro, owner doesn't want to do front speakers (if posibble). from what i'm reading the guidance speaker doesn't work without the DEQ-P8000 sound processor, which means i also have to get the AXM-P8000 processor controller. overkill for a system with two 6x9's and a single 10. if anyone has used the guidance speaker, please let me know if it works without the eq stuff, or if someone has access to try it out, it would be greatly appreciated. we need this for sound from voice guidance and bluetooth. thanks in advance
  3. through headphones, there's no seperate output to the rear speakers. you can play the dvd and select the dvd output to the rear on the main av screen, then listen to a seperate source up front, but still need headphone for the rear seat passengers............. this works great cuz you don't have to listen to the jonas brothers while the girls watch on the headrest screens and listen on the headphones............ sorry for the side note, lol
  4. try just a few pictures on a disc, it worked for me. i also tried with about five discs and it didn't work, then i just put about 20 pics on a disc and it worked, i didn't need over 100mb of crap. try that. good luck.
  5. is the camera hooked up to switched power or is it hooked up to the reverse wire. the camera should be powered to a switched source, if not it will only work in "reverse" and not on map/split screen
  6. i too enjoy my t.v. tuner! i'll keep enjoying it until feb '09 then i'll probably get a tracvision.......they rock!! http://www.kvh.com/tracvision_kvh/
  7. we've flush mounted one in a factory mic location and it sucked!! just in case you still wanted to drill a hole. i had mine in the a-pillar and recently moved it above the rearview mirror, no difference, just looked better behind the mirror
  8. part # CD-RB10, it plugs into the ip-bus connector, then you'll need the 3.5 to rca adapter as mentioned above.
  9. will this method shut off the ipod with the car? i want the "full" control of my ipod, but i don't want it to keep playing all day, lol.
  10. like inferno said check the fuses or it could be just a burned trace i know, it sounds simple, but if you are tech savy it could save you a ton of cash be just soldering a wire to repair the burned trace good luck.
  11. we had that problem with two units (Z2's), but then finally realized it couldn't be two bad units!! long story short........... i found the problem to be with the harness. check the wiring at the white plug that has the brown rca (camera input) the ground (shield) pin wasn't in all the way. hope this helps....
  12. we sell all three units (i know your question was about two) the strada sucks, the 7100 nav looks like a toy or game......ok i have a Z1, but i'd do it all over again if i had to. with the strada you need all kinds of "adaptors" for bluetooth, xm, or sirius and that's on top of the modules! plus no music library even though it has a hard drive. the kenwood is cool only because of the ipod adapter, only if you get the video one (adapter) they have two for some reason???? it's a lot faster than the Z1 and displays album art. if you add XM traffic to the kenwood the antenna is HUGE!!!
  13. i use nav/traffic here in texas (DFW) and it works great! at $36 bucks a year it's not a bad deal, well worth it........that's my $.02
