  1. Thanks for the response. Unfortunately nothing is available for upgrade when I reinsert SD1 and navigate to the Bluetooth settings. The firmware version shows 3.11, but the Upgrade Firmware button is non selectable. UPDATE: I was able to solve my problem. The Bluetooth was turned off, and you can't update the firmware until you turn it on. I didn't turn it off, and it was still auto pairing with my phone, so I didn't think to check it. Hopefully this will assist anyone who also runs into this problem.
  2. I followed the instructions, and everything worked for the first SD card. However, nothing happened when I put in the second SD card. My version say 3.000 for the 110 platform and 3.001 for the app version, but 3.11 for the BT. Shouldn't it be 3.22 for the BT?
  3. Thanks! I wasn't going to bother, but at $124 how could I resist! Thanks again!!
  4. I tried the single Garmin mic from Fry's that others have had success with, and it made absolutely no difference. I ended up turning off the Bluetooth on the Z110BT and just using the Acadia's built-in Bluetooth.
  5. With a 2011 you might need the OS-4 module instead of the OS-3. Check with PAC Audio.
  6. Not sure. For you it could be another version, so best to call PAC Audio tech support and ask.
  7. My 2010 GMC requires the use of the OS-4 module. However, some cars do not need an interface module. My '07 Ford Explorer did not need a separate module, and the SWI-JACK steering wheel controls (I used to have a Kenwood) could be connected directly to the head unit. I don't know if your Ford Edge needs some sort of interface module, but PAC can answer that question as well.
  8. It should be listed in the programming instructions that came with SWI-PS. If you don't still have them I'm sure you can download it from PAC's website. I can also confirm that the Version 2 programming is still holding perfectly after a week, and it's still very snappy.
  9. Ok, I can confirm that reprogramming the SWI-PS under Version 2 instead of Version 1 seems to have solved all my volume problems. I've been going for two days now without a problem, and it also seems snappier in performance. I will post again if the programming starts to fail again.
  10. I got a notice that mine was rejected. When I called them to ask why, I was told that it didn't fall within the right time period. I had a copy of the receipt, and I knew I had bought it in March, so I asked them what date they had for my purchase. They said "5/10", as in May 10th, which was indeed beyond the April 30th deadline. I looked at my receipt, which clearly showed "3/5/10" in two different places. Apparently they scan in the receipts, and for some reason the "3/" didn't scan in at least one of them. But they kept fighting with me.....as if that was a possible date without a year, rig
  11. Called PAC tech support. They told me to make sure the SWI-PS is connected directly to the interface module (in my case, the PAC OS-4) rather than hard-wire it in, and to make sure the SWI-PS is programmed for Version 2 instead of Version 1. Hope this helps. My installer is coming tomorrow to check it out.
  12. I have the exact same problem with my volume up and down buttons. Every other button works great, but the volume buttons only work every once in a while, or sometimes just the up button but not the down button. My installer is coming out to reprogram the unit, but he thinks it might be a voltage problem with newer cars like my 2010 GMC. Everything is so computer controlled now. I never had this problem with my 2007 Ford Explorer, a Kenwood DNX-7100, and a PAC SWI-JACK. Sorry you are having the same problem, but at least it answers my question about whether my problems were car-specific.
  13. Not familiar with the Scosche adapter, but I am having the same problem with the PAC OS-4 module in my 2010 GMC Acadia. It was too loud, and I couldn't control the volume with the PAC SWC as the instructions said I should be able to do. At first I thought the harness was plugged into the wrong port, since they have ports for both amplified and unamplified systems. If that is the case with the Scosche you may want to check to see if there is another port to try. The other possibility, as mentioned, is that there may be volume adjustment screw on the module, as there was with the OS-3. There is
  14. Yeah, it turns out that it's my iPod, not the Z110BT. It's a 5.5 gen 30gb iPod that either is too old to work properly, or has a dirty/bad connector. I tried a new Nano today, and it worked prefectly.
