Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew if the MimicsX2 hardware mod that allows touchscreen functionality would work with an appradio2, iPhone 5s? Would I still be able to charge my phone and answer calls via Bluetooth using the appradio? Thanks for any help

Yeah I asked the mp3car guy too. He replied but said that the creator of Mimics (CustomGadz) is having 'supply and design issues' and so they're not stocking it anymore

It is compatible with ios7, it backgrounds the appradio app on ios 7. That's the first step towards getting appex working on ios7.

Perhaps, yeah, considering pioneer already offer car play with some of their existing models. What I have found frustrating from pioneer is that they have offered such a limited selection of apps to 'officially' use with app mode, which severely limits the potential of what could be an amazing unit...

I disagree, car play will never allow you to use unsupported apps such as google maps, it will force you to use apple maps. The complete control of your phone that appex gives you will be nowhere near in car play. But I guess pioneer may ditch app radio mode, although I'm not convinced

From my understanding it's not something that would affect the ios 8 jailbreak. But i0nic is apparently notorious for not releasing his stuff to the public.

I seem to remember for the ios6 backgrounding issue, it was a suggestion from a forum member regarding the musiccontrolspro tweak that gave Mike what he needed to get backgrounding working. Where's the harm in people throwing out suggestions just in case one might help?

This was exactly my thinking, upgraded to ios7 about a week ago as I didn't want to risk missing out on the window!

Is anyone else having the overscan issue with ios 7? So apps such as Car Media Player will randomly shrink? Mike, any possibility of preventing this overscan in AppEx?
