i live in orlando and the golf courses do not look like golf courses and there are no building outlines. is this a setting that need to be turned on?

I know they stopped making the p5700 and i know that tv tuners will be obsolete in feb of 09 but i still want one. will any of the other pioneer tuners work? if so which ones. Also does anyone know of another TESTED tuner that will work with the AVIC Z2. thank you in advance for the help and please reply with model numbers and where to get them. thanks.

Ok, you said you did the update and you reset your unit. First, is your unit a z2? Second, did you do the two wire bypass as well? If you did the two wire bypass yourself, did you make 100% sure that the wire you moved AND the connector were BOTH seated firmly and securely? That would be where I would look. The ONLY reason this bypass shouldnt work is if the ground is not applied. The software itself, if burned correctly, works perfectly. The thing that puzzles me is that whenever it goes out i reset the unit and then it is bypassed again for a while. would this just be a loose wire?

i did the update, reset my unit and everything worked great. no more parking break message and i could use all the functions. about a day later the parking break message came up and it doesnt work. if i reset the unit it will work again for a little then the same thing. has anyone else had this problem? does this mean my bypass isnt hooked up properly? thanks

I can get some videos from stage6.com but i was wondering where else people are downloading videos from. Movies are no problem its just the individual music videos that seem pretty hard to find. thanks

First of all i did search and i could not find what i needed. the sound on my end is fine it is just the caller who heres an echo. are there any tricks to lowering the echo. this feature is great but the sound quality just isnt that nice. thank you in advance for your help.

does the reset erase everything

I have asked this question before and everyone has some dumb a** response. Are there any tested universal TV Tuners that will work with the Z2? Please help. If your response is going to be any universal tuner will work. Then please do not reply. Reply only with answers like the GEX P5700 will work. Thank you.

my understanding is that there really isnt a package antenna. my question was what "tested tuner will work" what is it called, where do i get one, how much is it? i need a little more information for i do not want to go buy something that sucks.

What universal tv tuner will work with the AVIC Z2. please help.

I will post pics as soon as i get around a camera. The basics of the install is that you loop the dvd to the rear view camera input. as soon as you flip the switch the z2 thinks it is showing the camera when in fact it is the dvd. the sound continues to play the whole time. my parking brake is grounded/enabled which allows the rear view cam i believe. the vss is still connected.

the sound for the dvd remains playing regardless it is just the video that goes out. when you flip the switch the video comes from a different source but the audio remains.

I think this has been posted..... my installer installed a swicth so that when i start moving and the video goes off it turns the video back on. the downside is there is no touch control and there is a banner at the top that says objects may appear in reverse but it seems to work fine for me. also there is a rear view camera mode on the navigation. when i flip the switch 2/3 of the screen is the video and 1/3 is the navigation. in this mode there are no banners just the video. i still need a full bypass for the navigation but for now this will work.

Just got my Z2 and i have a few questions. 1. is there an easier way to load the names of songs to the hard drive. i burn most of my music so they do not register with gracenote. 2. the gex p5700 is not being released any more. does anyone have a universal tuner hooked up to thier system. my understanding is you would lose touch control but you can operate it with a remote. please help.
