  1. Would you be kind enough to post the passwords to open these files?
  2. I would like to thank everyone in the Avic-s1 forum for all the documentation, links, etc. for Igo8. I have upgraded my S1 to IGO8 and can say that I will never go back to the original S1. IGO is alot better than I could have hoped for and the maps are up to date.
  3. Send me your email address via PM and I will send you the files.
  4. Just got an email from Pioneer. They have released a 2008 map upgrade for the S1. http://www.pioneerelectronics.ca/POCEN/ ... CNSD-PN20A Retails for 130$
  5. You will need the DVD to re-load the original software. Possibly a SD card with the software would work as well.

    S1 map details

Would it be possible for people here using the S1 to post their map names? Mine for instance is US_20060704_Pioneer_V11.map Just trying to figure out how many different map versions Pioneer has in their devices. Thanks
  7. I got a generic brand one. It is supposed to read 26 different card types but I don't have that many. I just went to my regular computer parts store and picked one from the rack. it was around 15$. Just check that it reads SD Cards and that it is USB 2.0
  8. Instructions are very good. I have a good computer background so it was easy for me to understand your instructions. Not sure if my dad could do it... Once suggestion I have is I used a memory card reader that is USB 2.0, so transfers were alot faster than using the S1 directly connected to the computer.
  9. Hey PysiekChicago, good writeup for the S1. I tried it yesterday, all is fine except I don't get a GPS signal. I changed the sys file to 4800 bauds but it didn't fix it. Any other suggestions? Never mind, I guess I didn't wait long enough. Caught the signal about 2 minutes after I posted the message.
  10. Like I posted earlier, I got a copy of the S1 DVD for Europe. The only problem I have is finding a place for it. As it is close to 5gb. If you are willing to trade for the updated US maps, I could probably ship you a copy of the DVD. Let me know

    Downloads Here

Guys and girls, I got my hands on a Avic-S1 europeen 2007 DVD. The only issue I have right now is finding a spot to host it. My ISP monitors P2P software and drops the speed of upload and download really low (8kbps). Seeding this 4GB file is out of the question for now. If someone has a FTP site that I could upload to, grant me access and I'll upload it. PM or reply to this post
  12. Any one bought the new maps? Just want to know if it's worth the 150$ pioneer is asking for it.

    I need help

you will need the dvd for the navigation software and maps. Look on the forum, i think someone posted a link to the files.
  14. Download both winceimg files (see below for link), put on an sd-card root and call it by the servicemenu 0=WINCE Upgrade--->2=WINCE by SD/MMC on avic s1, reset the machine and install original files from the original cd. Let me know if it works! There is a good site to get help by a friend called Cmonex here: http://www.hpcfactor.com/forums/forums/ ... 8&posts=12 Good luck! http://hpcmonex.net/roms/avics1img.zip brought my AVIC-S1 to life. Download the file, and follow the instructions above.
